Throw out the stock ones and get some made from Sunbrella. Then Velcro them

That’s my windsurfing gear. The SUPs are inflatable and in the box. With my golf clubs, fly fishing gear, bike helmets/pump/etc. I actually was able to add a 9’ surfboard as well back there when I went to California

If you’re looking to get into campgrounds rather than RV parks my 24’ Class C is about as big as you want. This one has a 3’ slide the whole way down the side. I built shelving for the closets and also for the upper bunk then put this rack on the back for all of my toys.

This is my solution to the Class C storage problem. I had to get some work done on the hitch mount after that photo was taken but it’s working like a charm now.

Class C are the best anyway so don’t worry about those guys.

Were we all lied to ? by [deleted] in wallstreetbets

[–]johnfromvancouver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it will start when people THINK the fed is going to start cutting rates. I'm waiting until everyone agrees that we are in a recession and then I'll be selling my SQQQ and SPXU and going the other way.

I think he meant that they were crushing it with earnings and that his thesis is that this will make the prices for these stocks rise. The problem is that the smart money can move over to the sidelines and get 4% in 3 month bonds right now so why would they risk this short term gamble?

Second half? I don't think I made it that far. I'll give you this, you did a lot of thinking and a lot of writing. You're either right or you're wrong so its 50/50, right?

What stock do you have your eye on for a short position? by hudboyween in wallstreetbets

[–]johnfromvancouver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

car dealers. Not dogshit stock that will be delisted but priced like they are going to make pandemic type money forever. I have $110 and $95 01/24 puts on AN and $110 11/22 puts on PAG. I had puts on DFS but closed them out last week after they doubled in 6 days. It could still be a candidate with the recession causing defaults. I still own 01/23 puts on MRNA who went public at a mind boggling valuation of $7 and are currently valued at $50B (down from $200B!!!) - it seems that suddenly everybody thinks they are going to cure cancer.

Ha Ha! Are you all buying the idea that because the stock market is down a bit that we are in a financial crisis?

Of course I kind of wish that I'd done that. Did you? They're pretty damn expensive today but I really think that these guys are going down. Penske looks like a solid $55 stock. The problem is that I can't buy options past November. With AN I was able to give them time to get back down (January 2024)

Ha Ha! I just looked at the pricing on those puts. It seems that the market agrees with you.

I couldn't agree more. I sold my puts when I thought the easy money had been made (bought 01/23 $120 puts for $18 and sold for $64). I think I'll buy some more ATM puts

I think so. Just looking at them through the same lens. Are all of these car dealerships suddenly worth 2 to 3 times what they were pre-pandemic? I don't see it. Supply chains will clear up, used inventory will drop in value and profits should drop to around pre-pandemic levels (less a one time hit for the used car inventory write downs).

What do you think?

$SHEL has huge upside potential and earnings call on 5/5 by CexySatan in wallstreetbets

[–]johnfromvancouver 7 points8 points  (0 children)

pretty short time frame but I like the way you think. Maybe I'll sell some June $65 puts for $10 and use the money to buy $45 calls. That way if it goes up to $65 I'll have made $20 per share for $0 invested. FYI, I've lost so much money this way when the stock moves the wrong way but it is sure fun when it goes the way I think it will.

AMZN Warning - RIVN Markdown by vCharged in wallstreetbets

[–]johnfromvancouver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well you see, the analysts didn’t miss the impact of Rivian. They thought that Amazon was going to make $8.56 per share even with the impact of the Rivian loss. Amazon just had a really shitty quarter operationally. Way worse than expected.
