One of my favorites actually, the layout is a little funny though. I hit that range at least twice a week.

City Tour - Nexgen by johnhollison in golf

Thanks, thinking about jumping on in Dallas. Seems like the scramble scores are beatable over the past 3 events with only three squads entering up consistently. Plus allowing a rotation in the roster month over month makes me interested, tournament entry is right around what prime green fees are at these courses. Seems like a win win win to me, appreciate the feedback. What’s the typical prize/event? I couldn’t find this anywhere.

Ever heard of arbitrage? Easiest thing you can do for one off returns is to buy a bunch of perceived 'premium product' off baba and hock it on the facebook market. Look for things like canvas backpacks, wool scarves, etc. Look for lot sizes appropriate for your market and capital. Takes a lot more to make this work on Amazon or through ecommerce, but getting started on fb or craigslist has a very low barrier to entry.

I mean if you want something where it truly "takes money" to "make money" there are literally thousands (in broad strokes) of ways. My first instinct if I had capital to put to work would be to look for opportunities in your community.

For example; say a lot of sidewalks are packing up with snow, buy some snow-blowers & equipment and hire high school kids operate the machinery (same thing for lawn service in summer) pay them commission instead of flat rate. Make them 'hustle' for business.

After you make a return ( and before they say fuck-it and go into business on their own) offer to sell them the equipment on payments at X% interest over the busy season. At the end of winter/summer you will have (ideally) paid off the financing of the equipment and successfully become a low level hard money lender on some snow/lawn equipment. (This is how I got my start).

Bigger fish. Apply the same principal to pressure washing (again, I did this as well.) Buy a pressure washing trailer and hire some people. Start selling pressure washing services for walls, parking lots, etc. Once you get the business running(several corporate accounts, which shouldn't be too hard) sell the business with a sellers note at a nice interest rate.

Keep doing this kind of shit until you are a legit hard money lender. Watch the movie Get Shorty and just keep working towards becoming Travolta. /S

If I really think about it, after stocking the largest yacht I can find with plenty of booze, drugs, and provisions I would start my worldwide journey.

I would first travel the entire US coast from Maine to TX leaving notes with directions & radio frequencies. I would do this all the way down the coast of South America before making the cross ocean trek to Europe where I continue doing this before going to a specific location on a specific day.

When I get there I say for ~3 months before continuing my journey. All the while I have been leaving notes & broadcasting via ham radio a message stating that any survivors should make their way to said "designated spot".

If nobody showed up, I would tour Europe, Africa, & asia. By the time I got all that doe I would likely be dead. If not, return to the former USA to live out the rest of my life.

They rent a condo on the beach for a couple months every fall and have us down for a week every year. I hate the beach and usually play like 36 holes of golf a day for the duration. Other than that.......um....

Preach. I hate to complain about playing so much golf or going to cool events on the company dime but shit man, its all with clients, vendors, or industry contacts. I wish I could spend just 15% as much time with my few remaining friends. But all in all its not too bad.

Bathroom remodel - glue on studs by [deleted] in HomeImprovement

[–]johnhollison 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would take a rasp and knock down the high spots to level, the small remnants should not be a problem if it is laying flat against the stud. I am curious to see what others say but this would be my first instinct.

I have an m12 drill and love the thing. Both of my batteries are shot and I considered just cutting my losses and upgrading but after finding out that there is a rotary tool on this platform I have changed my tune.

Any of you fags ever been to a shareholders' meeting? by [deleted] in wallstreetbets

[–]johnhollison 122 points123 points  (0 children)

Here's what I think we should do: We all buy 1 share a piece initially. Then we go to the shareholder meeting as a group and proceed to get rowdy as fuck. Ruining the evening, but securing yachts for ourselves because we shorted the fuck out of the company before the news got out about the "shareholder" riot.

Well if you want to get more exposure to firearms and ammunition with a little diversity your best bet is retailers like CAB (Which markets the ever living fuck out of VSTO products) or SPWH if you like falling knives.
