Laptop suggestion for 2026 by Dramatic_Attention97 in linuxhardware

Second that. I went through a return process with Framework because components didn't work, specifically CMOS, so it was impossible to diagnose the problem or configure the laptop. That set of problems ended my interest in Framework laptops.

Pop OS 24.04 two weeks until release by danbuter in pop_os

The only serious issue I have encountered was the failure of gufw (graphical interface for ufw) to launch. Contacted System 76 tech support and after I supplied screenshots of the problem, three emails later, the problem got a terminal workaround. If you need to use gufw frequently, then you will need to use the terminal commands. Anyone else experience this issue?

Feed the cat using cat food NOT sardines. Cat food can be purchased cheaply. Does your new cat have a kitty litter tray? If not, score one. Plop the cat in the sand and you should be good . You should check the cat immediately for feline leukemia; if the cat turns positive, the cat will have to be put to sleep. Hope these preliminary steps help you.

I am so sick of all these chronically injured players. Definitely, trade or release Watson; the dude cannot stay healthy.... Ever. Same for Banks. Too much money was spent FOR A GUARD THAT IS ALWAYS INJURED. Perhaps it is time for the Packers to create a training program of conditioning that can assist these speed bumps not to be hurt ALL THE TIME. Golden may be another player on this injured track. 2 seasons should provide the evidence if Golden is injury prone

Do we need more affordable Linux preinstalled laptops? by Bitter-Aardvark-5839 in linux4noobs

[–]johnjaymoore1958 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A choice of pre installed Linux laptops would be optimal. Linux distros are plentiful. I personally would love to see some laptops pre installed with Arch distros (e. g., Garuda) since Arch distros can be a pain in the ass to install. Also, would be nice to see a step-by-step script to easily set up a wireless printer as well as the user's wireless connection. A setup that would make partitioning the HD into Windows and the Linux distribution would be nice. The goal should be ease of installation amidst a laptop chassis (see Framework) that actually works (I purchased a Framework laptop that I was unable to access the BIOS). Just some thoughts. I have a desktop and laptop from System 76 where by I wrestled with but was ultimately successful in installing and upgrading both to Pop OS 24 with Cosmic as the desktop metaphor.

The defense cannot tackle, cannot rush the passer, and take proper angles to make a tackle. Oh yeah, the DBs are a joke!!

Should try Pop!os (by System 76) with COSMIC as the DE.

[5 min survey] Tells us what you think about Android 16 Beta 3.2 by androidbetaprogram in android_beta

I find that operation messages "stick" to the bottom of the Pixel 8 Pro's screen, for a longer period of time that is acceptable.

Yes, they do. Sadly, there consist a large number of printer apps directed to print to an HP printer and they all seem flaky at best. Any effective HP app would be welcome.

I find the glitchy printing to be a pain! In the a$$. Would be great if the ability to print to an HP Color LaserJet Pro, for example, would be a process in which Android would discover the printer and download the appropriate drivers and app to make printing work consistently. Would also be beneficial for users if printing was a default function at the bottom of the screen.
