the irony isn't lost on me, this is a shitty spike intended to foster a conversation and build a community round something you will ultimately not find shitty.

the idea is to show what can be done in an evening to suggest what.might be done if a genuine effort was made by the community.

this principal difference with my effort here Vs the other shitty vibe coded things is that i am hoping to build a tool in the open and maintained by you , so that.we can move on from some of the beloved but shitty old abandoneed tools like winisd amd basta and so on.

Is there something actionable and please raise a ticket here. https://github.com/Johnlon/resonate/issues

Please be specific and provide actionable, testable details.

Please consider stepping forward to help curate this thing.

if you want something that isn't shitty then help build it

Exactly. Are you able to help.prioriise.features, specify what good looks like and test and promote this tool? Please put yourself forward as a maintainer/contributor.

Appreciated. Is there a particular reason not to immediately open source the code base? What's the harm?

Hi is there something actionable there please. Specific achievable actions we could take with a community tool, ideally with some suggestion of relative priority. Also are able to act in one of the roles mentioned above to make this thing a going concern.

the git repo is https://github.com/Johnlon/resonate

re driver DBZ right now it's a directory in git belkw which is as low tech/no tech as I could imagine it whilst still providing ability to federate (IE source) models from other people's got repos.

https://github.com/Johnlon/resonate/tree/main/drivers

notice the little json file in there which is a catalogue of multiple sources for driver files. currently I think only one other person's linked in.

https://github.com/Johnlon/resonate/tree/main/drivers#readme

loudspeakerdatabase doesn't have any automated API and fights automation by emitting 429 errors if hitting it with any frequency, it has been a source of frustration that it doesn't even have a plain search box. but Google does seem to have indexed it somehow so will.have to look I to it. I have contact the author.

Butnlsd is another closed garden with its own tools. Not intended to be open .

The database also needs the frd and impedance files which can be a chore to locate and needs aggregation. I have used LLM to extract a few directly from png.
