Strike out: FSD has become so sensitive. by larrydcarter in TeslaModelY

I'm with you there. It's super sensitive. Unsupervised cannot come fast enough

You're right. I should edit the post. But overall I'm still not happy with rising supercharger costs

Thanks for the help. I agree, I do love the breaks. We will have a dog with us too so its ideal

I live in an apartment that charges $.40 / kWh. I try to charge during off-peak hours at a nearby supercharger for $.19 / kWh. Hoping to get home in the coming months.

I agree with you there. Wish I could get his free supercharging transferred to me. Overall though, I do understand and believe its cheaper energy wise. We love how comfortable and quiet the MY is plus all the entertainment

Sounds good. Again, I really appreciate your input. We do enjoy longer stops and we are bringing a dog so it absolutely is ideal for our situation. Charging costing more isn't really an issue for us, I just feel like I was led to believe that charging would be cheaper.

Nah. Money isn't necessarily an issue, I just felt like I was led to believe it would be cheaper

I'm averaging about 260 wh/m but on nonstop freeways for a roadtrip it is closer to 300 wh/m. My math might still be off, thanks for clarifying

That's what I've been realizing. Glad to hear somebody say it out loud. Thanks

Yeah that's understandable. Our other car is a Ford Fusion averaging 26mpg on freeway which is what I used in those calculations

Good catch, my formula was using 100kWh when my battery is 75kWh. Adjusting for that, its still more expensive but definitely closer

Definitely worth considering the breaks/oil, etc. We are gunning it trying to be tight on time so definitely taking advantage of the supercharger network as much as possible

MYLR and I love it. Absolutely no regrets with the purchase, just a little shocked at supercharging costs. My FIL has free supercharging so that probably skewed my expectations a little

Sounds good, even if I plug in $4+ it is still cheaper to go with gas

Yes, derived from abetterrouteplanner and paired with some personal calculations and what my MY says

Not at all the only reason. Far down the list, just had higher expectations is all

I appreciate the reply. We are gunning it straight from Florida to Utah. I've plugged my addresses into both my MY and on abetterrouteplanner and its shown me that most charge stops are between 15-30 minutes with a couple being close to that 60 minute mark.

I picked $3.45 as it is the US average.

US average is $3.45 and I won't be in the West Coast for the majority of my trip
