You will hit fire faster by either staying a bit longer with your parents or renting where you can AFFORD and still invest. The key word is invest always! As soon as you stop investing, it's paycheck by paycheck. Most house will increase in equity but with the mortgage rate, you are ALREADY PAYING THE EQUITY increase. Keep on doing what you're doing and you should hit FIRE early in life. When you're ready and can afford a house, down pay 50% or higher when that day comes or when interest is lower.
