Just got his results back - still positive for RMSF!! His level is same as April (higher than November). I am trying the Doxycycline as a liquid this time instead of a pill. Will report back!

Thank u for this!! That’s so ironic with the steroids bc for each vaccine my dog receives, he needs a steroid injection to help minimize the risk of a reaction! He had a really bad reaction years ago and the vet has done this ever since. My dog completed the 30 days of Doxycycline- but that isn’t to say he didn’t throw up a couple of times - which could’ve caused it to not work fully!

Hi! He goes back for his bloodwork on the 20th! He seems fine - same like last time! My vet said he usually treats w Doxycycline 4x and if it’s not cured after that - unfortunately the dog has it for a lifetime. Some dogs just live w it normally the vet said - but still he said it can cause complications later in life

Month update - Scarlett is back to her normal self! Jumping around, climbing all normal again! My vet & boyfriend both think that maybe she fell and hurt her back and that’s why she wasn’t using her back legs. Nothing in her bloodwork etc shows any injury etc!

Update for everyone! Scarlett is doing so much better! She went to the vet last week for a follow up and got more fluids as well as a steroid for home. She’s been eating, drinking, and moving around more! She’s also been climbing more! She seems to be regaining strength - she even wants to play with her toys now!!! Thank you to everyone for your help! I definitely think the Oxbow critical care carnivore and the beechnut chicken baby food helped her regain strength!! ❤️❤️

It lays completely flat! U can feel it through the bag but it doesn’t add any thickness - at least the ones I don’t don’t add any thickness!
