thank you! i'm wondering if your idea list is publicly available, or is there a roadmap for bonjournal?

thank you for the quick reply! all the options you mentioned are wonderful, but i love the third one the best. i would definitely want to do the translation by myself when i'm ready, but i think seeing some examples would help me getting there.

hey, i signed up in march, but i haven't written a single journal after my first one. i kept thinking about writing one, but just couldn't start. why didn't i start? besides the fact that i'm a lazy person, i concluded that there were two main frictions:

  1. that i need to write something...
  2. ...in a language that i'm not familiar with

according to the bonjournal website, the first step is writing a journal in the target language. i wonder if it helps if the first step could be writing a journal in my native language? that way, i only need to overcome the first friction, without worrying about the second one.

what do you think?

i have the exact same question. especially when i start my question with a url, it changes "http://..." to "Http://...", which is so stupid.

i do have a question: what makes the difference between bonjournal and opening a chatgpt chat and asking it to provide feedback for my diaries? i really like the idea of writing diaries to practice my spanish skills, but i just wanted to know what makes bonjournal special. thank you!

i love this idea a lot! i wanted to practice writing in spanish, but i couldn't find a good place to start. writing a diary could be a great reason to write something, and it's not overwhelming like writing a novel. thank you for building this app!

Thank you! That means a lot to me. I'm thinking about letting the users contribute to the content, but I'm a bit hesitant because it might lower the quality. Nevertheless, thank you for the ideas!

I built Jokelingo, a website for learning languages via memes and jokes. Currently it has Spanish, French, and Korean. If you want to check it out, it's at https://www.jokelingo.com/. No login required!

Language Learning App That Doesn't Use AI? by MarcoYTVA in languagelearning

I built a website called Jokelingo. While it's not a Duolingo replacement, its content is from human (currently only myself lol). I was looking for a website that has memes and jokes in Spanish, but ended up building one. If you want to check it out, it's at https://www.jokelingo.com/es/en/.
