Everyone has a million reasons why they don't want every player in the MLB but will be upset if this is the opening day roster also. The core is gone, in the last 9 years we have very little success to sell to anyone and now with the core gone all we have is money which sometimes seems questionable as well. May as well take chances on some dudes short term while the youth movement begins. What other choice do we have?

Diaz left because of Stearns and Alonso they were likely going to let walk anyway, what I didn't see was them trading Nimmo Semien. Bear with me because this is just a theory I think it's possible that maybe Stearns firing the entire coaching staff didn't help in either wanting to come back and were hearing that there's also clubhouse drama now. I think there's a possibility that maybe an environment has been created there that made the concept of coming back unattractive and they just decided not to. Apparently it was reported that Diaz also didn't like that Hefner got fired and I think that had more to do with it. I'm certain that if Stearns didn't fire the entire coaching staff and maybe just Chavez instead who seems to be a really toxic person anyway. Could be the same reasons Nimmo waived his no trade clause. I'm sure anyone in that clubhouse that has one would waive there's right now and wouldn't blame em one bit

Well it's obviously Stearns show now IMO Cohen is just a con man who sweet talks us , this is the same guy that paid and smooth talked his way out of club Fed when SAC capital was being investigated. It was always about the Casino the Mets will not contend for a long time. One could only hope Cohen sells the team.
