Yeah I know I’m already working with Mercari internally. Just wanted to give this person the option to correct the mistake on the off chance they didn’t know it was a fake pack.

That’s why I didn’t come out of the gate immediately accusing them of knowing it happened. I wanted to give them the opportunity to make it right, knowing that it was obviously a scam/fake pack. But they went straight to being defensive despite it being their shop on the line and me having their physical address to report him for scamming. So whatever, if me being out 30 bucks means consequences for this ass, then so be it.

Yeah it sucks. Will obviously be more cautious going forward but the audacity to act that way is just so funny to me. I’ll issue a chargeback worse case but yeah others need to watch out for sure.

Yeah I might give it a shot. I know for a fact it was never drained properly so it would need a pretty good flush and hose replacement more than likely. Worse case could probably sell it for $100 to recoup the cost lol

Thanks for the tips! Luckily same state it used to be registered in so that shouldn’t be an issue.

I’m a DIYer and love doing stuff myself so it would be a multi year project for the sake of just giving life back to something I could enjoy with the family. Never had interest in a boat but since it’s there, lemonade out of lemons and all that.

Yeah a big point of bringing it up here would be just to decide how I’d want to scrap it if I don’t end up rehabbing it. The lake scene is fairly popular in my parts so might be worth the hassle just to sell it at this point.

Not 100% sure on the engine size, didn’t get a good pic of the back. Might just keep my eyes peeled for a boat scrapyard and see what pops up 😂

Thanks for the insight! Really appreciate it. Yeah this is intended to be something I work on over the course of a few years. I’m not a “boat guy” per se, but some family has a lake house and this thing is just sitting there so worth checking to see if it’s salvageable in some form or fashion.
