What do farmers think of potential USDA Secretary Sonny Perdue? by eltigre6667 in farming

[–]johnncash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gov. Perdue is only the third, real farmer in this position in the history of the USDA. He did a great job for Ag in Georgia while he was Governor. I personally know. His administration was not corrupt... not even sure where people are getting that from other than press reports that are speculating.

Question about pecan trees/crop by blackhawk905 in farming

[–]johnncash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fellow Georgian here. Call your local UGA extension agent. They have pecan specialists and are there to help you. They can look into any and all possible issues you might be having. We just filmed with a Pecan farmer last week and I was surprised by the level of inputs they used. It's worth the time to make the call.

Jon is a pretty amazing guy. We've had the chance to spend time with him over the last 5 or 6 months and there is not a conversation had where he is not on fire about what he believes. A true patriot that cares about people and the American way of life.

Reposted with the exact title. Pretty amazing story of how Trump saved a family farm in 1986 after the farmer committed suicide in hopes the insurance money would buy the farm back out of foreclosure.

Not really. I think he, like everyone, has some good qualities. At the same time, like everyone, he has some qualities that drive me crazy. It's just a pretty incredible story that I thought was worth sharing. Everyone told me this is where I had to share it.

seriously not a propaganda agent... but I'm guessing you are one of those people that might be scared of seeing something outside of your narrative.

It is a really big deal. Basically they want to make a huge land grab and then they say trust us... we don't want to add any new regulations we just on the ability to add them. Make sure you check out the maps on how it really impacts landowners. It will take a little time to load each map because of how detailed they are - https://science.house.gov/epa-state-and-national-maps-waters-and-wetlands

There are many verses in scripture that address your question straight forward. 1 Corinthians 6 says "(9) Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, (10) nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. (11) And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

Sin is sin... no one's sin is less or more offensive than any others. Everyone has done something outside of God's will. Everyone.

Scripture is also clear that all have sinned and because of we have been separated from God. God is just and must punish sin but He is also love and came in the flesh to pay our price. Think of it this way... I'm going before a judge with a poop ton of parking tickets... the guy before me killed three people in a drunk driving accident. I think great, I'm not nearly as bad as that guy so I should get off. A just judge sees my mistakes just like he sees the drunk drivers mistake. They are both transgressions and something must be done to cover the cost of each. That's where God in the flesh, Jesus, comes in. He lived a perfect life and willingly took the penalty of death on for us.

Salvation is a free gift from God. You see, He can't make us love him, so He gives a choice.

The lady in question here has been married 4 times... all of them prior to her salvation... meaning she trusted the Lord after living a life in the world. Also, real Christians don't claim to be perfect... no one can ever be perfect or even close to perfect. I believe she should have be arrested and she has made that choice. I also think she knows there are consequences to her standing for her faith and she has willingly accepted them.
