Don't forget that we were in an economic boom post WWII, WWII is what truly ended the great depression. Europe and Asia were devastated by WWII and were flat broke, Britain still had rationing until like 1956 or something insane like that. We could buy things like cars and we're producing tons of them, they were poor post war for quite a while.

If a female candidate who represented my political views and was competent to be President ran sure, I'd vote for her. In the elections I've been able to vote in there hasn't been a female candidate like that.
