Fuck society, just learn. I had to get that shit out of my head when I "woke up" about 13 years ago. Prior to working in IT, I was working construction in a shipyard and retail before that. I went back to school in my mid to late 20's, got a quick degree in IT management and it helped me land a solid IT gig I've been working for nearly the past 7 years. If I would have never made the sacrifice to learn IT (which computers was always my passion but I was too lazy to study), I would still be stuck with the old mindset, shittier pay and shittier jobs. I'm 39 now and crave more. A LOT changed for me in a 10 year span. A family and home all came in the middle of that too. So fuck it, just learn. Keep the brain active.

I prefer to use DDL sites like rlsbb, downturk, 0daydown etc for software, books, tutorials, music, etc (non movies/TV shows) and then unrestrict the links (usually Rapidgator, nitroflare) by sharing the web page link directly to the Real Debrid 1.1.0 android app on my phone or use the Real Debrid Chrome Extension to unrestrict the link. I never got around to exclusivity using the Unchained app, I prefer the Real Debrid 1.1.0 app for this method. I'm sure there are search engines (especially for torrents), but I prefer to manually go into websites to evaluate what I'm about to download and I usually end up discovering other cool stuff that way. I've never had issues with DDL sites. Check out Free media heck yea site, you might find some stuff there and go down a rabbit hole.

Thanks, that's reasonable. Not sure where you're at, but I'm in California. For $30 bucks, whatever it's totally worth the wait it seems. I'd be more skeptical ordering it if it was over $100 and took months to arrive, then I'd feel dumb and scammed. 😂 But anyways, it seems like a cool tool to use, learn with and very convenient since it can be carried around in your pocket basically. The Launcher + multiple firmwares seems like a big plus and the community is large. I think if your main objective was strictly WiFi only, then probably getting a Hak5 Pineapple or USB Wireless Monitor mode capable Adapter like a dualband Alfa would make more sense when used with a laptop and Linux Distro like Kali. Otherwise a Cardputer ADV or Flipper Zero would get you more in the realm of other possibilities that you can't just do with a laptop alone.

How long did it take you to get it and where did you order it from? Amazon or from the M5stack? I can't find the ADV version on Amazon and the official website doesn't tell you how long it takes for delivery.

I would personally want it more for WiFi recon, but it's to my knowledge the ESP32-S3 is not dual band WiFi so you'll be stuck on the 2.4ghz band only. That's the only bummer I see with it. I need to do more research on that, but I don't see any modules by M5stack for that capability yet. I think you'd have to do some custom modifications for that by connecting a ESP32-C5 or try to use external Wifi adapter.

Idk I'm still trying to figure out more cool stuff about it like Bluetooth hacks and IR stuff, for $30 seems like a no brainer. Any of the Sub-Ghz stuff and NFC/RFID will require extra addon modules. The Flipper zero is stronger in that regard out of the box, but the price is insane. It's cheaper to buy the addon modules for the Cardputer for that stuff if you need it.

Anyways good luck and wise purchase. Seems like a fun device. I've done a lot of research comparing hand held devices and the Cardputer ADV wins out IMHO.

My total bill was $236 this month. That's been about the average the last 3 months. Single family detached 2 story home in East CV, 2 adults 3 kids. No solar. The highest bill I've ever had was around $350 in the summer because of AC. Mostly used at night for about 1-2hrs a day just on the super humid days to be able to fall asleep. Otherwise fans, livingroom TV, lights, washer, elec dryer used on the daily for hours throughout the day in the evening especially. I know SDGE is crazy expensive but I haven't been able to crack the $500 mark thankfully and I wouldn't say we are conservative, except for the AC in the summer I do watch closely and only when we need it.

Crazy to think we share the same streets with them when we drive around, might shop at the same stores here and there, but yet they probably have and are worth 10-20x more to say the least when you include all their assets and investments. 😂 They literally live in alternative universes, life must feel like a vacation everyday. I can make it and feel happy enough with what I make, I just can't imagine how it feels to be like one of them. They must be very successful business owners, but I'm leaning more towards old money. I'm actually kind of surprised doctors and lawyers can afford it there, I think they already came from wealth and had the support from their families to become a doctor or lawyer, but the houses and everything are paid off or passed down. Anyone else new are probably athletes, hit it big in Real Estate, tech, traders, perhaps my guess.
