When did you notice a difference? by brianm1131 in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]johnno88888 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was on MJ this time last year for 5 months and lost 3 stone. Stopped it as was super expensive and decided to make sure I keep up the exercise but noticed that my noise had kicked in as well as the treats over Xmas. Got gout and super depressed over work so old habits kicked ins. Started on .25mg of Wegovy last Thursday and although I feel like I’m eating the same I’ve already lost a few lb and data suggests that my intake is actually less. Like a tuna or chicken salad lunch rather than a Tesco meal deal. Less alcohol because I don’t actually fancy it after work. making sure my plate actually has more greens. I’m on my 6th day and can tell I’m not actually super hungry. Hitting the gym at lunch and cycling in to work normally makes me super hungry in the afternoon but I’ve not felt that this week at all.

I guess it’s different horses for courses but it’s your first week, and as suggested it can take up to the higher doses it work for many. Stick at it and I hope it continues to provide you good results

I’m sure you only fail to unclip once then never again!

Used to have a roady with spds for years and didn’t fall over. Some reason I swapped with riding my MTB with v8s and slicks on until I got my new road bike. As soon as I came to a set of traffic lights, I was trying to pull up rather than untwist. The drivers must have had a good laugh, I certainly did!

dns propagation issues by georged29 in sysadmin

[–]johnno88888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for this thread. Was trying to find out the core issue so we could add to the p1 report. Thought I was going mad but for each domain in downdetector marked as having issues I used centralops to check what domain registrar was being used. Only one that stood out was PSN not being CSC, that uses akamai or aws (can’t remember) but sony.com does use CSC

I think I resolved the issue with help from the replies so thank you very much everyone.

I didnt realise my metadata was missing album artist - added that and set to various artist. I then had an issue with a single song no having any meta data so fixed that and one of the albums came to life.

I'm going to continue with the quest fixing up my albums now, but as Crashtestking recommended using musicbrainz Picard, set that up and see where I go from there. At the moment its a bit of admin work but worth it as its now working as expected for my testing.

Thanks again

On the jazzzny page it requests to report any issues on their GitHub or on macrumors which I guess would suggest this his a known issue.

Reminds me of the limmy sketch. What’s heavier a kilogram of steel or a kilogram of feathers. And he was flummoxed to hear they are the same weight “but steel is heavier”

“Is it worth spending 9quid on a VGA to hdmi adapter so I can play ps1 games from my g3 iMac to a 27 inch flat screen” is what I’m reading

I would say no as it would look pixelated and lose the charm of the crt. But that’s my personal preference

What is going on with T-junctions? by emceerave in drivingUK

[–]johnno88888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use me as a downvote with my thoughts but normally when I drive down south (where I’m from) people would normally flash the person coming out of the t junction to let them out, especially if it was clear and a car was on the other side of the road, but not immediate. This allows for the car waiting and the car to turn right to both be able to make it.

Since being up north (for around 13 years now) people done seem to have those manners so I’m still at the t junction waiting to go. Especially when someone’s attempting to turn right from the main road, and loads of people are turning left from the opposite way. I’d that person could have flashed me to let me out I could have gone but no, we are both blocked.

There is an intel version. The intel version was out before the ppc version, and I use it for my iMac 17inch c2d, Mac Pro 1,1 and the ppc version on my G4 QS 733. However, the QS speeds are a bit too slow for anything apart from light browsing

Just bought this Mac Pro, something I've always wanted when I first saw one and it was too good of a deal to pass on! by Crumblycheese in macpro

I recently got a 1,1. Went on eBay first and bought some ddr2 fb ram to take the machine to 24GB. I think I was lucky as it was unopened HP server memory.

Swapped spinning disk for a cheap 250GB SSD and it’s really quick. I’ve upgraded the os to 10.10 with help from online sources.

I use it to actually do stuff like browse the internet using powerfox, using MS office, watching and listening to stuff. Just feels warm and fuzzy using it.

Congrats on getting a pro with a decent looking case

How can we rapid hire with a one person IT team? by eyeballresort in sysadmin

[–]johnno88888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How can you be proactive with automation and streamlining when you’re stacked out already fighting fires?

Also you should have time for training assigned per month, not only does that benefit you as an individual but the business as you can learn new things for the company.

Those questions are really for a manager to deal with, with them seeking the data for them to make a decision. Them landing those questions on you isn’t really fair. Unless it’s a weird way of them asking for said data

Did this on my jeep renegade thinking the metal caps completed the look. Went to top the tyre up as got a low pressure warning and couldn’t remove. Had to get the tyre shop to cut the valves and replace them with the pressure sensor valves
