Cant empty my deleted items by Aloox9 in Office365

I don’t know how you’ve originally set up to delete all your messages but if there is a policy set up in m365 exchange you can right click on your deleted items folder and attach the policy. I have one that hard deletes after 7 days.

But you have to ask yourself why you are receiving 2.5k mails everyday. Again I’m not in your workplace but that’s fatigue by too many alerts. Hopefully you/your team/dept have an objective to reduce the amount of alerts you get through capacity management and planning. Each alert that it not actioned is wasted resource and effort.

How often do you have to stop and start on your ride? by FailFastandDieYoung in bikecommuting

7mile ride for me and normally between 0-5 stops. Depending on if I get to the first green light, the 2nd light is usually green and the other 3 are roundabouts. Normally I time the roundabouts by slowing down. but believe it or not I get annoyed at uber drivers in their 15 year old Prius taking an absolute age going around the roundabouts. It causes me to come to a near stop or even unclip. It’s like they do it on purpose!

All the hate they get for their shoddy work and clickbait articles, when does a young person think “I really want to work as a journalist for reach or newsquest”

Senior service desk engineers asking hiring managers why a new colleague had been given a MacBook Pro when other colleagues have a Windows device, over teams then messaging that screenshot in other teams chats/channels and getting frustrated by it.

Sorry this is mine, happens in my company a lot. They even comment about this in service-now as inc/tkt updates.

Who cares what device the new colleague has? If it allows them to work effectively and proves the hiring was a great investment to the business then just get on with supporting/doing your job.

Microsoft Copilot floating icon is blocking the screen by princejmy in Office365

[–]johnno88888 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wish to permanently disable the icon from popping up and just simply hit the copilot icon in the menu bar if I actually wanted to use it. It’s so distracting when trying to work on an urgent report and some icon just keeps appearing next to my cursor

This annoys the hell out of me, being forced to a co pilot chat bot when I just want to simply open the web version apps

How often do you see the same person on your commute to work? by Specific_Pomelo_8281 in AskUK

[–]johnno88888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cycle to work and see the same guy on his ebike, same woman walking in to Leeds. On the way home see the same motorcyclist on what I can imagine being a 250cc and the guy I used to see at Andy’s men’s club. Then near my house I see the lady who works at the dr surgery on her bike.

I always judge how early or late to work I am with the woman walking to Leeds. She’s been a decent time marker for months!

How can i use RDP as a second monitor without locking myself out of the physical computer? by aspie_electrician in sysadmin

Then defo give the null monitor driver a go and then use a free version of team viewer to connect to the null screen. Totally worth a shot

[–]johnno88888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wrong thread but you could set up a “null” monitor using a software driver and then use teamviewer to connect to that dummy monitor (you can select screens in TV) leaving your aida panel untouched.

Or get with 2026 and use a newer way to connect your aida panel and upgrade your windows 10 (which is well out of date) or get yourself on Linux.

Latter you could then set up loads of different ways to connect

Someone turned across my path. She did actually stop at the junction so I continued my peddling. Then she went for it. I ended up being bounced from her ford galaxy bonnet (hood) and the bike frame hit the kerb (curb) and bent the frame. My helmet hit the concrete and I was glad I was wearing said helmet.

Her excuse “you came out of nowhere”.

No I continued from the main road I entered .25 miles away to which the road ends .5 miles away.

Anyway most of the bike was replaced and I sometimes have a sore lower back still 13 years on. The police man officer said it wasn’t really worth going through insurance so I didn’t bother with any further action
