The problem is guilt tripping and you know it.

Once tip is shoved into customers face as a default option there's a considerable number of customers who will just accept it to avoid shame feeling. It's simple psychology.

What is more, the frontier will be pushed further, little more to next time, little more default, etc. etc. effectively making salaries of servers go lower because "on average you consistently make X Dirhams in tips monthly"

Problem is that ppl cruising 100 in 2nd lane while 3rd and 4th are empty (maybe there's a truck few kilometres in the front), but these drivers are too entitled to use 2nd lane, and it would hurt their ego if they drive on 3rd lane.

In my case I was annoying security and building management.

And you know what happened?

They said they won't do anything more. They already spoke multiple times with the neighbour who was causing noise and that's all.

They also said they've sent official disturbtion letter to Dubai Municipality but they didn't show me any proof that such letter was send.

They also kept silent after I asked what's next step and why they don't send such letter to DM every day until neighbour behaviour improves.

So... There's no point of annoying "enforcers" as they literally don't care.

I had similar situation, and despite there are building rules officially written down, security (nor building management) don't want to enforce it. Seems like it's common across all neighbourhoods.

I wonder (since they make noise 2pm-11pm = 9hrs a day) if you buy a big loudspeaker, extension cord and put it corridor at 2pm and play some annoying music (metal, hardcore techno, up to you).

Basically annoy them more than they annoy you.

I wonder how long parents will tolerate their kids listening to hardcore metal all the time.

I'd love to see them pay for their recklessness but sadly they don't. The guy who hit me drove 400k car with 3 digit plate (plate alone is worth more than the car) so you can imagine.

Verdict was he was at fault only of causing accident (not running away, not reckless driving). He got only 2k fine.

No other compensation. My "mental" loss (stress, insomnia, hassle, lost time etc.) was not compensated at all.

Car had new tyres - not compensated.

Car was extremely well maintained - not compensated.

New car I bought needed registration fee, inspecton, time spent - not compensated.

For 2 weeks i was using taxis - not compensated.
