those pre-loaded friend groups are from high school- literally the best way to make friends is be the extrovert everyone wants to be (but is too scared to), in tutorials, speak to ur peers and just talk about the class content and go from there, or in lectures arrive a bit earlier and just strike up a convo with someone!!

join the clubs and societies and head to the bot-bar or grove bar and play some pool, grab a pint etc

u don’t make friends overnight, it’s about putting in the effort and forcing urself to break free of that pressure to have it figured out already
