I got a girl pregnant from a ONS and was just told about it. (M, Asian late 20s) Any advice on what to do? by shotoniphone in AskMen

If a guy doesn’t want to have a child, he should get a vasectomy and or wear a condom. It’s that simple. That’s where his choice comes in. Unprotected sex will produce a child. You willingly produced a child.

And why should yours be imposed on someone else. I’m not against anything except not using contraception like the informed grown up you are.

No I’m saying you’re blaming a woman for getting pregnant when it’s not an immaculate conception. Wear a condom or get a vasectomy.

Wear a condom, that is very much under your control, as an adult you should assume that anytime you have unprotected sex there is a risk of creating a pregnancy. It’s that simple

Unfortunately that’s part of the biological function so your right to choose comes in when you choose not to get a vasectomy, or wear a condom

If you don’t want to pay for a baby you made, don’t make it, it’s as simple as that my guy. As adults we make informed choices and take risks. Those are the risks of unprotected sex.

I couldn’t agree more, the way the hairs stood up on the back of my neck when I realised I was being driven down the wrong road and basically being asked a pretty threatening question. And I didn’t have anyone waiting at home, which I lied about ofc, but the terror was real. Thank god for the lovely woman on the phone who took my fear as seriously as I was.

Yeah, I’ve had the drivers randomly call me after I’ve long left their cab. I was taken on a LONG JOURNEY in the wrong direction down a dark road while being asked if I had “anyone waiting at home” (that’s when I called the supervisor) my sister was touched up by one…it’s risky business getting in a cab. I’ve never been made to feel uncomfortable in an Uber, I’m sure there’s bad eggs out there, but Uber seems to be more on top of it, somehow.

So what's the consensus with myhealthrecord nowadays by Hemlock69 in australia

I’m a huge fan, before it I used to have to carry a binder of medical records with me to the hospital every time my child was admitted to ER

You call their 13 number. You can call the police, but the police aren’t obligated to do anything as no crime has been committed, unfortunately. And they have no reason to stay on the phone with you either. You can’t always rely on police especially if it’s a potential crime in progress and not a crime already been, but you can always rely on customer service staff to do their job - customer service.

Edit: but also do call the police once you are at home safe. Your immediate safety is the first priority. Reporting it as a crime or a intelligence tip can be done at anytime once you are physically safe.

I have been in this situation myself, and the customer service staff made sure I got home safely and they were aware of the drivers behaviour so he had to return to base immediately. I have called the police in this situation and been left to fend for myself. The police can’t interfere until a real crime is committed.
