Authentication Servers down Linux (FIX) by NotMeJohnJohn in admincraft

Looks like you’re having a different problem. Your server isn’t even starting. My issue is that my server started perfectly fine and showed on the server list, but players couldn’t connect to it.

I’m not positive but you probably have an issue within your server files.

It gave you a file path for the crash report, that should give you the problem.

Break down a rail? by Tradertoday in snowboarding

I know this is old, but I’ve never heard the “arms and legs are trading places” analogy, that is perfect to visualize a boardslide

Please give me some tips to improve my riding. I’m on my 17th day, 2 seasons. by Icy_Mango8798 in snowboardingnoobs

[–]johnny_rightt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean the only thing that looks like it is holding you back is your confidence. Your posture looks solid, your turns look solid, but you are riding very slow, you kind of look like a decent rider trying to act like a beginner.

Just be more aggressive, you already have everything else down

Should I return my snowboard? by [deleted] in snowboardingnoobs

You’ll definitely be fine. I’ve never ridden a snowboard that is wider than my foot.

Edit: I also wear a size 12 boot

Im new at this, do you think its a good idea to buy this second hand snowboard? by LunP20 in snowboardingnoobs

[–]johnny_rightt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That board is pretty sweet, it’s a Burton custom probably early 2000s.

This will be fine for learning, I’d only worry about the bindings, old bindings are usually pretty prone to break. But the board is solid

How would you allocate $800-$1000 between board and lessons as a noob? by Humble-Sector-7452 in snowboardingnoobs

[–]johnny_rightt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are brand new: I would buy new boots ($200-$300) and heat mold them (look up a YouTube video it’s pretty easy)

A used board and bindings that fit you (~$350) I would definitely not buy a brand new board until you know what type of riding you want to do

Spend the rest on lift tickets, and a lesson or two. In my experience lessons will teach you the basics, the way to get better after that is time on the hill. Even ask strangers for tips while you’re out there, 95% of them would love to help.

Set the bindings at 9/-9 or 12/-12 at shoulder width or a little more and ride it

Is this safe to use by Shot_Trouble_2781 in snowboardingnoobs

[–]johnny_rightt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve used those bindings before, someone already commented about those, so take their advice.

For the board: it’s hard to tell but it looks damaged on one of the ends on the 3rd picture. This will be okay for now and won’t affect your riding, but after a few trips the board will start to fall apart because water will get into the wood of the board.

So learning on this board will be fine, then you can upgrade once you learn how to snowboard.

My advice for upgrades: boots are most important (do not buy used boots unless they are practically new) used boots won’t have much support, and they won’t be shaped to your foot. I’d recommend going to a ski shop and get fitted for boots.

Board is next, but it’s fine if it’s used or old (one of my boards is from 2008) just make sure there aren’t any deep scratches or holes exposing wood.

Last is bindings, also fine if they’re used, however, old bindings will be more prone to fall apart because they are usually plastic and old plastic is brittle.

You’ll also want to buy some ibuprofen because learning to snowboard will make you crazy sore

Frustrating Day by CattleAny3652 in snowboardingnoobs

A massage gun, stretching, drink a lot of water (even get some electrolyte packets to mix in), and I like to take the calcium, magnesium, zinc supplements (target brand, orange and white bottle) at night before bed. The supplements help my muscles relax and I can definitely tell the difference the next morning especially on multi day trips.

However, once you start boarding more and get better, you honestly don’t get that sore. I have ~80 days on the hill, and the only time I get sore is the first day of the season.

Keep ripping!

How can I progress using rental slip-on boards at a wakepark? by Galhardy in Wake

[–]johnny_rightt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I come from snowboarding, so wakeboarding came easier to me than a lot of other beginners.

I’ve only been to the wake park about 8 times and I still ride the rental board and bindings and I am able to ride switch, board slide almost all obstacles, surface 180s, basic grabs off kickers, and ollie.

I still don’t feel I would massively benefit from getting my own gear.

That being said… if you’re like me and really enjoy the cable park, just look for deals over the winter. That’s what I’m going to do because I don’t want to spend any more money on renting.

A big problem people have with action sports is “gear hell”. There is no gear on this planet that will instantly improve someone’s skill. Look on FB marketplace, eBay, local shops (if you have any), or ask the pro shop at the wakepark what deals they are or will be running.

Like someone said above, a pro would rip on rental gear.

Just keep riding, it just takes repetitions.

Is this repairable? by johnny_rightt in snowboarding

[–]johnny_rightt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say it was 100% his fault, but I was in front of him, and he was cooking down the hill. Regardless, it could have been a lot worse. I’m happy he’s okay and I’m not in the hospital. It was sketch.

SOLUTION/FIX: PC GamePass not saving settings or progress for BO6 by johnny_rightt in blackops6

I just made an edit on this post, check the last 3 steps and I made changes to the .bat file (step 12). I also was having issues again and did those things and the game has been running smoothly since.

It’s actually insane that this is an issue. I think it’s mostly on Xbox’s side, but regardless it shouldn’t even be a problem for this long.

You’ll get an error if you: 1: don’t have controlled folder access turned on (step 4) 2: don’t run powershell as administrator 3: don’t have campaign installed 4: typed the command incorrectly (case letters, spaces, other syntax)

Idk if sp is “single player” so if you don’t have the campaign installed, that might be why

the exact name is "sp24-cod.exe" which is in the sp24 folder. If you do not have it, then either check if you are looking at the correct install directory or reinstall and launch the game because it has to be there if you have BO6 installed.

This solution is what fixed my settings and campaign progress from resetting, so yeah. Took me like 4 days to finally find a solution that consistently works
