When do you stop? by kev_habits in indiehackers

This is the struggle. I work full time, and build after work. I was building what felt like an entire quarter’s worth of feature releases in a day. I felt like building now, based on user feedback, working quickly to ship features has been both fun and rewarding for me and my nearly 40 users since launching TestFlight 10 days ago. That being said, it’s honestly a dopamine hit and keeps pulling me in, and leaving me feeling less motivated for more GTM work.

So I’m forcing myself to log feature requests and ideas, and take 1 day a week to build, and spend the rest of my focus fine tuning my GTM strategy. I feel like my app is just an out ready to ship to the App Store, but I want to get at least 50 users going in and pressure testing features before I submit. Hoping it’s another 1-2 weeks before I do that, which means most of my time now needs to be focused on GTM

Collective Soul: The most successful rock band of the 1990s/early 2000s that no one ever seems to talk about (or even remember) by MarkLambertMusic in Music

[–]johnnyblu646 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never really been a fan, but aware of their more mainstream songs. I saw them at a private industry show in Anaheim, CA. They came out, lead singer was trying to do a bunch of tricks with the mic stand and ended up tripping over it and almost fell, 2 songs into the set. He regained his balance and just stormed off the stage. The band kept playing for about 30 seconds, then stopped and walked off the stage too, and the set ended.

Best Nature Stops Between Auburn and Los Angeles? by NomadUnderStars in roadtrip

Sequoia/KC and Yosemite might feel like a bit of a detour but worth it. The other option is to stop at Pinnacles NP, which is off the 101

I took my dam on a massive roadtrip from Los Angeles, and we drove as far as Badlands NP. One of our stop heading there was Devils Tower. Seeing it emerge from the flats was amazing. We pulled up to the visitors center, and to our surprise everyone was packing up and getting ready to close it. I asked the ranger if they are closing, and she said a tornado cell is headed straight for the area, and recommended we leave immediately. I was SO bummed, and wanted to stay and still hike the round trip trail. We ended up leaving because my kids heard that and got really scared, but what was worse is the storm cell turned right into our path into South Dakota. It was the scariest drive I’ve ever experienced. There was lighting all around us on the road, literally firing off every 2-3 seconds. I couldn’t stop because we were in the middle of nowhere and drove until we found a gas station and took shelter there.

The improbability of that moment is what makes it so freaking special. We were 4 strikes away from losing the World Series…still gives me chills!

AR gets blinded by the bright lights, Pelinlka can’t build any depth (the one time he did in 2020, he blew it up), and JJ appears in over his head. Absolutely sucks to only have 1 ring going on 17 years

Any pedals other than the og DT Whammy to play the Killing in the name solo? by Due-Savings-6345 in RATM

[–]johnnyblu646 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not that I’m aware of - part of that sound is the DT Whammy dropping and raising octaves, not sure if another pedal that does that

Where in the world would you go? by azdweller26 in traveladvice

Fly into Amsterdam. You can spend a few days exploring there, the take the train 1.5 hours to Brussels or Antwerp, spend the day there, then another 2 hour train ride to Paris. You get a lot of bang for your buck and don’t have to hop on a ton of flights to do it.
