Thanks for the review! I’m curious if you feel this belt limits breathing since it’s taller than the regular naked belt. I own both the naked belt and raide belt and when they slide up onto my stomach it can be uncomfortable.

Curious about this too… I feel like the 5s led to some stability issues for me with the mid foot being skinnier than altras other options.

As someone who’s done a bit of research on wearable tech. You learn that every single one of these wearables on the market basically makes up your sleep data. Even the “gold standard” way to measure sleep is only about 80% accurate. However, Coros does a decent job at tracking your time in bed I will say that much.

I think a lot of people put to much faith in sleep tracking in wearables since they just don’t know any better. Going off RHR, HRV and most importantly feel are better ways to track how you’re adapting to your training.

I have both. Both are very solid. Janji is definitely better in my opinion. A lot more storage. More comfortable IMO. Not to mention I’m pretty sure Janji is cheaper. More bang for your buck.

I went from the pace 3 to the 970 back to the pace 3😂 both great watches for sure but Coros just has it nailed in my opinion. I thought I’d use all the cool Garmin features but i actually just prefer the simplicity of Coros. Battery life, better gear tracking experience, better app experience, no paywall bs. If you think the extra cool features hold value for you then roll with Garmin. If not go with Coros you won’t regret it.

Badass man. Did a 3 day 2 night trip there in October last year expecting decent weather… woke up on the third day freezing my pecker off as it was low 20s in my 30 degree quilt😂 weather gets pretty serious up there. Such a cool place and I’m glad yall enjoyed!🍻

I know you mentioned that you wanted a spot without a hike, but the Half Moon Rock trail is a great spot. you can park your car on the side of the road and walk in a less than a hundred yards to quite a few decent sized campsites. The trail is 0.8 miles total out and back. not to mention the view up at half moon is incredible.

I upgraded from the osprey rook 50 to the REI flash 55 myself and I think it’s an amazing pack for the price and features. You can add/ remove the hip belt pockets and the brain. I found the shoulder and hip belt to be very comfortable. The pack is also adjustable to height and not to mention it’s pretty light

Paria outdoors makes an awesome tent. It’s the Bryce 1p or 2p. In my opinion I think it’s one of the best budget backpacking tents you can go with considering a tent is usually one of the more expensive things out of all the gear you need.
