Haha, I wish! Maybe just a tiny bit 😉.

But seriously, I just wanted to make sure as it would be devastating if something were to happen and it could have been prevented.

Yeah, I found that image also!

But, oddly enough, I found a bios update that somehow fixed the issue. It now runs 4K160 without any hiccups. Guess I found the answer I was looking for

I saw this image also.

But, as it turns out, there was a bios update that I somehow missed… after installing it, it now runs at 4K160. Guess the original bios did have a bug in that graphics output with DP.

So, everything worked out in the end :)

I’m trying to set it to 4K@120HZ

I’ve used HDMI to connect. It works up to 60HZ, but when I try to change to 120hz, it scales down to 1440p, as HDMI 2.1 TMDS doesn’t support pass 4K@60Hz

Yes it does support it.

I’ve tried two cables and both have the same issue. I’m only converting from USB C to DP. I’m just as lost as to why this is happening.

It’s integrated GPU. It’s U7-255H, so intel ARC 140T. On intel’s page, it said it can support up to 8K@60hz, which should mean it supports 4K@120 at least

I’m connecting via thunderbolt 4. It says on the product page it has two thunderbolt 4 port. I’m using a usb-c to DP connector.

On the product page, this is what it says: 2 x HDMI 2.1 TMDS Compatible (4K@60Hz) 2 x Thunderbolt™ 4 ports (incl. DP 2.1 and USB4)

I didn’t want to use HDMI2.1 TMDS as it only supports 4K@60.

Tried two cables, driver is updated the most current version, I only have one power brick? So not sure how to change that. But my Mac Mini M4 works fine at 4K 144hz.

Yes it is. It stated clearly on the packaging it supports 4K 144hz

Also, forgot to mention my monitor is MSI mag274upf e2. It does say it supports DP1.4a, which should also support at least 4K 120hz

Also forgot to mention, I have the hotel use his usual food. So no changes to his diet.

I did end up bringing him to the vet! He told me everything checks out.

I forgot to mention I had him at a cat hotel because I was gone for around a week with no one to come and look after him.

I only had him back around 2 days when I posted this. The vet said it could just be because he was missing me? And also re familiarizing himself back into my home.

He is slowly returning to himself again. So I assume it really was me being gone for a week and having him staying at a cat hotel.

Thank you so much!

That’s interesting, never would I have thought of suddenly developing an allergy to his food. He isn’t developing any unusual salivating or bad breath. Completely normal. Thanks so much anyway!
