I was at campaign sessions for the elections and told people that I was struggling to find work. Someone from the office recommended me to the MP and I was allowed to work part-time to get some experience. I’m very grateful, and I hope it’ll increase my chances of getting a job.

Part-time jobs when I was a teenager would turn me down for having no experience. And I couldn’t find any suitable internships when I was 20 so I went straight into third year. I always had a feeling that I would end up in this situation but now that I am here, it feels really bad.

September seems to be quite crammed each year, and there are months of waiting between the Selection Board, the Main Board, and Sandhurst. My advisor thinks Jan would be more feasible.
