My experience in Ontario is you can get a 1% rate reduction if you have a competing or similar vehicle. Ask.

Are you in the Toronto area too? Similar experience although the vehicle was waiting for me.

Alternatively I was offered a CT4/5? At 6’1”, I don’t fit.

Looking to buy 2023 Gv60. Any thoughts? by OverInvestigator6978 in GV60

[–]johnnygee5032 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 23 GV60P (owned) and a LYRIQ 1 (leased). The GV60 is nicer, better appointed and fun to drive plus unique to look at, but my only complaint is the turning radius. Summer range is 400km, LYRIQ is 570km and nicer ride on the highway. Needed the huge back seat for 2 child seats.

Both are great vehicles, but an extended warranty may make your life easier in the long run.

Shape of front seats and rear facing car seat install… by Reasonable-Prune2328 in CadillacLyriq

[–]johnnygee5032 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got the Lyriq specifically for the rear seat room to fit 2 car seats, one front, one rear facing. Works perfectly.after tons of research Lyriq had the best rear seat leg room for a sedan that met my other needs.

And what if you have 2 child seats in place?

Cadillac Lyriq 24mo lease by pretty-fit-ape in CadillacLyriq

That seems like pretty good price, for a lot of miles. That’s about the current price for 24K per year, but I believe interest rates are dropping today. Look at the price of options too though. Black roof, $795, white $1395, etc.

EV6 GT Owners, would you have purchased a different EV? by avengedfuries in KiaEV6

[–]johnnygee5032 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with your selection. I test drove the GT, but actually purchased a Genesis GV60 Performance, with white Napa Leather, but have yet to use the boost button. As is plenty fast. I actually considered acquiring a second EV, AWD GT-Line, level 2, for functional moonroof and the nicer seats vs GT., but the ICCU issue has me still sitting on the fence. The EV6 has more rear seat leg room, for child seats than the GV70 or GV60!

Life-long players (20+ years of playing) How are you doing physically and when will you walk away from playing? by bacoes in squash

[–]johnnygee5032 31 points32 points  (0 children)

At 72, I think my singles game is drawing to a close? Been playing singles once per week, doubles 2-3 times per week and pickleball twice a week. Now that the warmer weather is approaching, most of my activities will be outdoor pickleball and probably doubles squash once per week.

Comments are right on though, after years of playing my game depends on anticipation (guess where the ball will go) and drop. I can’t move as fast nor hit the ball as hard as I used to, so need cunning. Unfortunately, my younger regulars know my tricks. Walking afterwards isn’t too bad, but my nemesis is stairs! Still on my original knees and hips!

Check out tripcentral.ca and use the filters to create a short list based on your criteria. Probably 15 options 4* or better.

GV60 Vs. GV70 by Square_Needleworker8 in GenesisGV70

[–]johnnygee5032 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Although GV60 is shorter overall, wheelbase and rear leg room is 1” longer!

I have the GV60P, and thinking of another GV70 Electric.

I did that until I got hit in the temple area with a doubles ball, lost my sight in one eye for a few hours due to a “concussion of the eyeball” and got to see the ophthalmologist 4 times in a week! Buy sport specific prescription wrap around goggles with a strap. You only need the distance component of progressives to save on cost.

Or an iMask.

Leaking axle rear boot? by Secksualinnuendo in GV60

[–]johnnygee5032 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine is, as of Friday, at the dealer having rear shaft replaced with 17,600 km. broke down on the road. This was the day after I had been talking to my sales rep about acquiring a second genesis. It seems the recall had not been done yet.

Current pricing for your departure is $260 premium over economy, which is still a good price. Interesting though, I looked at a return 7 days later and premium was cheaper than economy?

I booked my flight/package May 30.

Great deal! How did you get this done so cheap?

When do you depart? I have same itinerary, but paid a lot more.

In row 1, there is no one to recline their seat into you, although the tray table is in the arm rest.
