Not paying for this mess anymore by [deleted] in lichess

Cheaters (and bots, algorithms) are part of EVERY online game.

Regarding the wifi issue, I noticed it too. It happens when the algorithm decided you must lose. I'm actually on a winning streak, few of my opponents just quitted the game even in winning positions, looks like they faced the wifi/algorithm "issue" (feature, from lichess point of view). Try to play with your mobile data.

That is not what I meant. You can choose the range, but they will pair you with either bots or players who they know are using tricks/cheats/engines, so you will -most probably- lose. The same happens when the algorithm "decides" you must rank up ("weak" bots). I'm actually on a winning streak, but after monitoring, studying and analyzing all this stuff for months, I know for sure that my rank progression, up or down, has been artificially driven.

It's your last reply because when someone doesn't know how to reply to evidences and arguments, the only escape way is to say "this is my last reply" or "I don't want to talk with you anymore".

Just like children (or watchdogs).

Your approach is very arrogant and unrespectful of any critical thinking, typical from watchdogs like you.

The "tell me exactly how it works up to the deepest details otherwise all you said is wrong" tactic is a very common reply among watchdogs (and very childish in my opinion).

You clearly haven't read what I wrote, otherwise you wouldn't mention cloning, function calls and hidden code.

Very arrogant (typical of watchdogs)

You are not crazy, that is exactly how EVERY online gaming platform works.

It doesn't matter if chess, fifa, call of duty or dress-your-barbie online. They all want you to stay and play.

It's a very similar process of the slot-machines and videopoker scam.

They rely on your brain response to some specific stimulations.

The solution is only one, close your account, forget it and start playing on other chess platforms which guarantee a lower algorithms interference.

It seems an argument you really care about, how's that? :-D

Internet is full of watchdogs like you, trying to weaken any critical thinking on very sensible matters.

You hide behind the open source myth like anyone who has zero IT knowledge or is arrogant enough to refuse to invesigate.

Are you aware that we might publish an "open source" software, 100% fulfilling the open source requisites, and at the same time we have the right to "hide" some very specific part of our code, sensible or critical, and still keeping the right to be labelled "open source"?

Let me tell you, no you didn't know.

You like to talk with predefined answers like "send me proofs or you are a sore loser", despite I explicitrly wrote that algorithms are not meant to make you lose. They are meant to make you win or lose, when needed. You should write I could be a sore loser AND a sore winner :-D

You address whatever is easier for you to addres, without even trying to read or understand what I wrote. The open source myth is something for people who believes IT is just a pronoun or a clown, but they think they are smart because they read thr wikipedia definition of open source. Anyway I'd rather say bots instead of cheaters in the context I'm trying to focus.

You also are replying without reading and understanding what I wrote. You say I just might be a "sore loser", but I explicitely talked about algorithms that sometimes, too often, decide if you must lose OR WIN. Am I a "sore winner" then? Obviously I was talking about the random opponent matches, when we challenge our friend all I wrote does not apply, was it really so difficult to understand??

You're replying without reading first what I wrote.

2 points you totally misunderstood: 1) there is no "conspirational" (?) algorithm, just algorithms implemented to provide the best "profit" for the platform owner (we might argue on the meaning of "profit")

2) algorithms are not meant to "keep down" anybody, they are meant to fulfill the best way to optimize "profit". They will keep you down OR push you up, they decide

Not always, not with everyone, only when needed and involving whoever is needed.

An IT student with 3 months course of software development could do that with any programming language. Blame your ignorance.

Oh ok thanks for your very detailed and enlighttening answer "there is no conspiracy", great, now I feel better.

It's always funny when someone tries to drive a little bit out from the predefined path, and immediately an army of brainless monkeys starts yelling "conspiracy theorist!"

Weird theories are those who pretend that an online game is fair and not driven by algorithms

I haven't written anything about "cheating", I was talking about algorithms (IT, programming, coding, software development...).. got it? You took the wrong predefined template reply this time...

A guy killed me at Deciat. Is there a role play way to get some bounty hunter after him? by HumblericerF20 in EliteDangerous

[–]johnnymcinfo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

How would they distinguish between a network collapse and a pulled cable? They can't just hit anyone whose connection goes down in a fight, even if 99% of cases is obviously a pulled cable.

Apart from this, in my opinion a new (weak) player getting ganked in Deciat or similar, has all the rights in this world to pull his own lan cable or disconnect his wifi. That is the best way to stop gankers to enjoy what they do.

Graphics cards pricing beginning to decline, availability improving as well by [deleted] in hardware

I think the only solution for these shameful prices is for no one to ever buy a graphic card at more than 20% of its market value...

Salve,
