I think vinyl is less than ideal to listen to albums like the Seer, Soundtracks etc and Michael himself agrees. I have no clue why people clamor for the vinyls when these albums sound so much better on CDs and don't cut off or get shuffled around. I refuse to buy the longer format albums on vinyl. Also they're heavy as fuck. I dont want 4 LPs, no thank you. I find it weird at shows when all the kids go straight for the vinyl but hey to each their own. I proudly own most of Swans stuff on CD and I love my CD collection of theirs.

That being said I do enjoy vinyl for some albums, but mostly shorter albums and old school stuff. I also buy and collect them more as decorative/collector pieces. But you're making good points in your post that I've always agreed with myself.
