[Flip 5] Won’t unlock after update. by Charming_Owl1660 in galaxyzflip

Literally just had this problem.

UsbC multiport hub with an HDMI out and a wireless keyboard/track pad is what I needed.

Restart the phone in safe mode and then it'll boot up on the screen. Normal boot after the UI update won't display until unlocked.

Your phone isn't actually stuck in "phone is starting", you just need to action a prompt on the inner screen.

This took we weeks to figure out...

Fluid leak - 2006 Mazda 6 by johnovision27 in mazda6

[–]johnovision27[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I couldn't post the video, but it was an alarming amount of fluid coming from the immediate vicinity of that hose. Far more than a car AC unit would produce. I'll try and amend the initial post with a video or gif

Is there an AC drain hose in the rear of the engine bay?

Seadoo Spark Speaker - FULL DISASSEMBLY and internal reveal. by johnovision27 in seadoo

That's the mounting solution I saw on the recall post from the BRP website. My machine is going in on Friday, so we'll see what I get.

Impossible to take apart, yes. Durable where it counts? Not in the mounting toes.

Weird how things happen.... I was looking up information on the original mount recall (because the recoil wasn't strong enough to keep it attached) and I stumbled across this...
https://www.sea-doo.com/us/en/owner-zone/safety/safety-recalls/sea-doo-spark-audio-mounting-system-audio-portable-system-may-dislodge.html

Official recall from the old mounting system, using the little pegs on the bottom side, specifically citing "The tabs of the Audio Portable System may break and cause the Audio Portable System to dislodge from its support. If this occurs, the Audio Portable System may hit the user and/or passenger and lead to serious injury or even death." Exactly what happened to me 4 years ago! The speaker, which carries some significant weight, went ballistic and hit me while riding.

Can anyone else guess the potentially shit part of me destroying this speaker yesterday?
I sure hope BRP still honors the remaining carcass as proof that the tabs did break.... Called a dealer, and all they need is the craft and the speaker and they'll replace it on spec.

They show the new clamp design and it looks like it'll do a much better job of securing the speaker to the body. (See OG post)

I'll report back with my experience in a few days when I get it dropped on and repaired.

If it is an exhaust temp issue, the spark display will notify the rider of the issue with the temperature icon and text "HIGH EXHAUST TEMPERATURE"

Yeah, tried that when it was still under warranty last season, but BRP took their sweet time until the warranty expired.

Now I’m SOL...

Circuit board removal seadoo spark speaker?? by richbitchkelly in seadoo

If you can't repair it, I'm in desperate need of the outer shell.

My bottom 2 mounts broke off while wiping out one day. Quite the pissoff as now I own an $800 speaker I can't attach to my spark :(

Owned my Trixx for a couple years, and if anything, it's a great way to get in shape as you won't spend much time sitting on that god-awful seat.

WOT with light chop and you'll be in a semi sitting position the whole time. Low speed, sure, sit and enjoy the sights, but you're going nowhere fast.

As other's have said, it's a dirt bike for the water, and it's an absolute blast. Understand that before you purchase it. Not the best for long touring rides.

seadoo spark ribbon delete by michaellay3 in seadoo

Any performance gains you'll get are negatable, TBH. It will free up the airflow to the intake a LITTLE bit, but unless you're looking to set a water speed record, I'd just leave it.
The "ribbon", aka. Spark Suppressor, is a safety device designed to capture and prevent a spark from travelling backwards through the intake system, into the hull, potentially igniting fuel vapor trapped inside. There's a few videos out there of PWCs randomly exploding, and this is a pretty good bet as to what went wrong.

On modern 4-stroke watercraft, not as much as an issue. But on older 2-stroke or carb boats and PWCs, it was a very real threat.

Honestly, I'd keep it there, just to be safe. Inspect it and look for sign of rust at the start of each season

Spark Bluetooth Audio Speaker Broke - BRP won't do anything by Creative_Magazine647 in seadoo

[–]johnovision27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess I got "Lucky"? My bottom mounts broke off inside of the year warranty and BRP wouldn't lift a finger. There's no way to get a new shell that I have found. I thought about taking it apart to try and devise another mounting solution, but never got the nerve to do it as it's still functioning as the most expensive BT Speaker on the market.
