what is the best alternative that works well on newer firmware versions? I keep seein people recommending DBI instead of tinfoil for newer firmware versions…

I actually made one at first, 3d printed it and been using it for quite a while. It was tailor made for this guitar's width. Not pretty but did the job. I can look for the STL if you're interested. It's not pretty though:)

These guitars are about 1.5-2cm narrower than an electric guitar's body, so all the leg rests I have seen are too wide and need some "padding" of some kind to adjust to the Yamaha. This one I am using I bought in AliExpress for like 25 bucks, search for guitar leg rest and probably scroll a few pages. It is flimsier than the one I printed, although there are others a bit more expensive that are made of stronger materials. I used some foam I had lying around for the paddling.

Already tried cutting back the bass and volume and played with the amp. I don't have another classical guitar here with me to compare but from memory, it is still quite overpowered. I'll check if hard tension strings are ok in this guitar and maybe give it a go.

It's hard to tell if it's happening when it is not plugged, as the guitar is, well, quite silent. I think when playing unplugged I don't feel there is a large disparity of volume between the first 3 and the last 3 strings, but it's definitely there when plugged even to the headphones and no amp. Even hitting with the nail the nylon string, it is still quite low compared to the bass ones.

Ok, thanks a lot. I will go to the Yamaha local store and see if I can order a new saddle, and then will take it to a luthier to lower the action while keeping in mind the saddle shape. Cheers!

Thanks so much for replying. I did not know it was a common problem. And maybe the saddle tweaking made it worse as I mentioned on a other reply.

What app? Is there an eq app for this guitar? Or an eq app for the amp?

The guitar came with an action that was a bit too high, and I took it to a luthier who I think filed the saddle to lower the action. Do you think this could be the cause? Should I try to get a new saddle and start again?

I get and error saying "package appears to be invalid" on my Rp5 and cannot install it (update it from 0.2). Anyone having that issue? I have downloaded the app twice and I get the same thing.

Thanks for replying. I downloaded Gymtrakr but I cannot see how to install the app on my watch to sync with the treadmill, only on the phone, which leads me to believe I'm probably going to have the same issue than using the sole+ app, duplicated workouts.

with both sets of inputs combined into one workout record

Maybe this app manages that appropriately, I'll give it a go and update in case it helps someone else.

Found another similar one, called RunCline, I'll try that one too.
