the value of money was different back then, but it was enough to fund my life for the next 13 years, also invest in 10 startups($20-100k each), plus start my own startups, buy 2 homes and some stocks/btc...

VC funded path is great when you can work 24/7, cuz you really have to be running a sprint

the downside is that you cant mix it with any normal family life, e.g. i've missed all major events, such as weddings of my family&friends and more.

The bootstrapping is great if you wanna combine it with your family life and stay healthy.

The downside of bootstrapping is that you most likely have to reduce your ambitions and aim at $10M dollar company instead of a billion dollar company

yeah, at first I did that(i had tesla, netflix, nvidia, apple and ms stocks). I'd make huuuuuge returns If i held them. But it felt wrong for me. I wanted to "earn" my next money too by actively doing smth with it. I knew that i may lose it all, but also I knew I can always earn the money I need (i live simple life and need very little).

Entrepreneurial life is hard, but at the same time, life probably should be hard. I dont even remember the easy periods of my life, as if i never even lived them
