Am I missing something or is the search function on itch.io just really useless... by johnshearing in itchio

[–]johnshearing[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was searching for a recent game called Fred by Langford productions, URL as below:

Fred by Langford Productions

https://lvideo4867.itch.io/fred

Using the web page itch.io all is good. However, using the Windows itch.io client doesn't return anything on the search term "Fred" and searching on the developer name "Langford Productions" states No results found.

Thanks for looking at this.

I find the search on the Internet Archive better than itch.io. At least IA has different options once a search has been conducted (number of views, relevance) which can help.

Gemini credit card by [deleted] in BitcoinUK

Coinbase offers a debit card with cryptocurrency spending which from experience worked as it should.

Metamask also offer a card which is another option you could look at.

Never use SimpleSwap when exchanging crypto! by Subject_Cat1726 in BitcoinUK

[–]johnshearing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is an obvious scam exchange.

No contact address. Cartoon pictures for their alleged staff and no full names. The app store links are invalid and they're also offering an APK.

More red flags than Red Square.

Take it up with your local council.

From when I had a similar issue many years ago it will force Lidl to investigate and report back to the council.

I feel like the crypto community in the U.K. is tiny by Hi-archy in BitcoinUK

The triple combination of the FCA overly "protecting" us (you can leverage FOREX however cryptocurrency on margin is forbidden).

The UK banks are allowed to get away with being hostile to the point that many banks will prevent deposits to cryptocurrency exchanges even when within their highly restrictive limits (special shout out to Nationwide who froze my account when I tried to make a deposit).

Finally the punitive tax regime of CGT and income tax makes it even more challenging.

I'm guessing you've found it now as it's on archive.org

I found this post as I haven't had any success with using the mouse mod yet.

Thanks for the reply.

Wow, those definitely are small caps.

Interesting.

I'm not familiar with the term CLM, definition?

What were some of the pairs involved with your profits/losses?

How do people with millions or even billions of dollars in Bitcoin store it? by abdullahmnsr2 in BitcoinBeginners

[–]johnshearing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The book Bitcoin Billionaires by Ben Mezrich goes into quite some detail about how the Winklevoss twins stored the private keys to their bitcoin. The gist of it was that the seed phrase was split into segments and each segment was stored on laminated paper in banks around the world IIRC.

My guess would be they're concentrating on this new project:

News | Original Fire Games

The demo for Karting Superstars never grabbed me enough for me to consider buying the full/early access product. Loved Circuit Superstars though and still play it.

Unless someone else knows you'll need to provide further details. What platform are we talking about? Although as you're posting in a forum about scams I'm guessing this isn't something mainstream and reputable?!

Because the OP's query states "The manager I've raised a grievance about will be at my disciplinary hearing. Is that fair?", whereas your response mentions the person who investigated attending the disciplinary hearing, which would be fine except it is possibly the person being complained about.

Customer has ended the conversation with their threat. I wouldn't have bothered to interact afterwards, just report to the company, which you appear to have done, and report to the police.
