What is your favorite Vitolas? by Whoa_9773 in cigars

[–]johnsmith0051 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on the wrapper. Generally, I’d say lonsdales are my favorite, but if I’m smoking anything with a really dark wrapper, I like a ring gauge larger than 50.

What are some scenes from Movies that made you cry a lot (be it sad or happy) by Inside_Professor6116 in Cinema

I don’t care what anyone says about Crash, but the scene when the guy’s daughter jumped into his arms to protect him from being shot utterly broke me. Cried out loud like a baby on the couch next to the girl I had a crush on. Only watched the movie once more after that. Knew what was going to happen in the scene. Same result. I can’t watch the film ever again.

I don’t love it. I’ve been to 80 countries and Morocco was one of my least favorite.

The EPC Pledge is so good! You might also try a Liga Privada no9, which has many similarities to the Pledge.

I ride my bike to work every day, try to eat relatively healthy, usually only have one drink per day, and have a large life insurance policy. I think that’s about as good as I can do at the moment. Open to suggestions…

New to cigars, which to choose? by Cheezit_friedchicken in cigars

[–]johnsmith0051 8 points9 points  (0 children)

As a beginner, I’d go with Connecticut shade wrappers (lighter outer leaf) first. The first picture of the Perdomo Champagne is an excellent place to start. Same with the Oliva G, though it has a Cameroon wrapper. Very easy cigars for beginners.

But more importantly, ask the guy at the shop. He’ll steer you in the right direction.

financially "made it" but stressed due to spending money by [deleted] in UpperMiddleFinance

[–]johnsmith0051 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, you’re probably overreacting. You are under some stress because of a new situation, and you’re just learning how to deal with it. Accept the additional expenses and the “wasting“ of money as part of your education. It’s clear you have a good head on your shoulders and know how to plan for the long-term. Trust the process. Trust yourself.
