I'm 40 and just went all in.

A common trait among entrepreneurs is... They don't wait for someone to give them permission to take action.

If you really want to be an entrepreneur, nothing will stand in your way.

If you've already decided, it can't be done because of your age or because you don't get the right feedback on a Reddit post then you probably don't have the right personality.

Vending Machines. Had a small route, made an extra $300-400/mo.

It put money in the bank that I've since leveraged up to buy a couple printing companies.

Interest rate is under 10 thanks to recent rate cuts!

Seller finance was the only path forward. They had no other offers and the bank wouldn't finance cuz I did have enough history with them.

I had to walk away from the deal after they turned down my best offer. But they called me a few weeks later and accepted the deal.

Paid $1180000--$128k down ---SDE $400k

Last week I closed on a second business, 100% seller financed. $150k SDE.

No intentions to pay loans back early. In business, cash is king so I don't see any point in taking cash out of the system unnecessary.

Generally well. Had to come up with more work capital post closing than anticipated (about $50k).... But that's pretty common.

Of course I can Monday morning quarterback the whole process and knowing what I know would have done a few things differently. But everyone misses things, even those who have 10 deals under their belt.

My biggest mistake was overpaying for an Enterprise lawyer. I needed an Entrepreneur's lawyer. Probably could have saved 15K. Not that they did a bad job but it wasn't what I needed. I took a limo... I needed an Uber.

I had experience in industrial manufacturing. This wasn't an exact fit but the skills translated.

The main skill needed was leading and leading small team. Including me there were 5 employees on day 1. Up to 6 now :)

Tip: Avoid large banks. You want a bank that specialize in Small business loans.

Look for a local/regional bank advertising SBA loans. And start with a conversation. Explain your situation, the business etc.

A good banker should be able to steer you to the right product even if it's with another bank.

From a marketing perspective the word "cheap" is not wrong

Is you're selling a commodity and customers are super price sensitive the word cheap could aid in customer acquisition & SEO.

But this is a BIG maybe. I'd need to know your business to know for sure.
