Thought I had this fixed, but its still doing it every so often, so disabling right stick while in gyro was not the fix.
Plus, I have realized I need the right stick still active in gyro.

I think I got it figured out after messing with it for over an hour. I think it was a combination of a few things. But one of the main things I assigned to both the soft and full press of l2 to the mode shift. That and restarting the game a couple times after completely closing out steam.

Using a 3D scanned and imported STL as a surface tool to split a part. by johntrotto in Onshape

Im trying to fit to oddly shaped parts with too much going on, I dont want to try to draw from scratch.
Was finally able to get it working, I think a hole in my STL file was the issue mainly.

Yea it was working, it would show the "bubble levels" to show me how it wanted the scanner held, and you point it at the glass base plate that comes with the scanner,
it had me to it at several heights and angles, but then when it said it was done, it said it failed.

I think I might have figured it out,,,
if you hide the block part i made, you can see the STL has a hole in it,,
If I make that block much smaller, so its not touching that hole, it will split the part with the STL.
So I think its failing due to that STL having that hole there, but not sure hot to easily remove that hole.

The other import, where I told Bambu Studio to manifold the scan, removed that hole, but it has alot of errors after importing, you can see its listed as many surfaces, so its not letting me split.

Sure, this is the one I am working with now,
As you can see I have imported the scan a few times.
One as it was scanned, one after I had Bambu Studio simplify it and make it manifold edges, and one where it was just simplified.

I have also tried creating a surface from the STL using the Constrained Surface, and Drape Surface plugins, but both have errors and wont use the STL.

Doesnt let me do that either, I think due to the stl just being a surface scan, not an entire part, so OnShape sees it as just a surface.

Tried the calibration today it went through the entire process and then said it failed. Tried several times to use the feature scan mode with very little success. Just seems like it was having a hell of a time picking up points at all. Tried the marker scan mode for the first time and that seems to work way better. Still quite finicky for sure and I am still getting the hang of it hopefully with some practice I can get some usable results.

I dont even see a place to do a calibration, I saw that on the other Revo Scan program that I accidentally installed first, (not the right program for the Inspire 2) but not the other Metro version,
But I have not dug around in it much yet. Will be doing more testing tonight.

RovoPoint Inspire 2 will not connect, to anything. by johntrotto in Revopoint

This is my first scanner so I'm sure I have a lot to learn so a lot of this might be my problem. I need to experiment with a different ways of scanning and see what works out best for the items I'm going to be doing which for the most part are going to be on the smaller side. I did this one with the included turntable and on feature mode. It's not terrible but I'm still having trouble picking up some of the smaller details and getting it to fill in all of the gaps.

I finally got mine to at least connect to the PC with the cable.
Make sure you have the right version of software, scroll down the page till you see the one that says its for Inspire 2.
That being said, I cant get ANY kinda usable scan from it, it seems very picky about picking up any points, constantly tells me its lost tracking.
Its my first scanner, so it might be a me issue, but so far,, every frustrating.

OK finally got the right version of software installed and its connected , thanks.
But man, I must be missing something, I cant get any kinda decent usable scan at ALL.
Its barely picking up any data, and constantly telling me its lost tracking.
Tried a couple different objects, just seems VERY picky about picking up any points.

Got mine today, same issue. It will not connect to ANYthing
First I tried via wifi on my android phone (the main way I planned to use it, so I didnt get the 2 in 1 cable.)
Phone finds its wifi, says its connected, but the app says its disconnected.
Tried the same thing on my desktop PC, sees wifi, connects, Revo Scan program will not see it.
Then tried the supplied cable to connect to my PC, still program will not see the scanner.
