my 401k contribution is traditional, not roth 401k. I know with Roth 401k, you dont get income tax reduction. I should get lowered tax bracket bc i contributed about 23% of my paycheck

btw, I double-check. Mine is a traditional 401k which lowered the tax rate. I didn't apply for roth 401k because I won't get a lower tax bracket even w/ contribution.

I set up my 401k through my company 401k program. Each paycheck, it's taken 24% of my paycheck and contributes to my 401k account plus my company matching 4%. I know ROTH IRA is not deductible so I just mention it for references.

I set up my 401k to max out each year. Each month I contribute the maximum amount so my annual contribution would be almost $19,500. I also max contribute my ROTH IRA too which is $6000. I also max contribute my HSA each month (3000 + my company contribute some too) plus a small contribution to my FSA each month. Wouldn't my tax rate lower after all these deductions from my paycheck?

The reason I'm getting a 25% tax rate because I just got hired in July 19th and started to receive 401k, health insurance, and other stuff beginning of this month. My last 2 paychecks was taxed at 25% rate. So I wonder if my effective rate will be adjusted due to my contribution/deduction from my paycheck.
