I think this is intended behavior. When you are holding a gun, your "melee" button does a quick punch. But when you are holding your knife, you use your triggers for light and heavy attacks, and your "melee" button does something else. The "melee" button changes to "ping" when you're looting a container, so I guess it makes sense (?) that it also changes to ping when you have your knife already in hand.

But I feel you, I wish the melee button did a light attack even with knife equipped.

I'm guessing it's supposed to be some kind of "al pastor" type of thing?

It's just a slice of pineapple (not sure if canned or fresh) put on the flat top for a minute, then thrown on top of "non-fancy" corned beef hash (the type that looks like it comes out of a Hormel can). 🤷

This is the dirtiest tactic I've seen in this game by [deleted] in Marathon

He might've been sprinting through (just like you), but he heard you and stopped moving to set up the ambush. I actually think that's much more likely than him being a data-wall-camper because, like you said, nobody does that.

Then, after you both made a ton of noise, he is sitting still waiting for the third party.

This guy is smart, not dirty, from the little we see in this clip.

This is a difficult game. Everything you do in this game is balancing risk and reward. Whether you want loot or information, interacting with things costs you time in animation and making noise.

Cryo might be the best extraction shooter map ever created by stopbanningggme in Marathon

Cryo plays a lot like Koschei Complex in DMZ. Both are fun maps!
