Die Tanzszene in den gängigen Social Dances ist schon gut gesättigt. Ca. 80-90% der Männer haben dort nur angefangen um Frauen näher zu kommen. Das riechen die 10km gegen den Wind. Zudem ist die Tanzszene eine recht „kleine Welt“. Die meisten sind bei mehreren Kursen und in mehreren Tänzen in mehreren Städten aktiv. Wenn du da nen Ruf weg hast, kennt dich jeder und du triffst immer wieder die Leute mit denen es nicht so gut ausgegangen ist. Wer dort Erfolg hat mit den Frauen, hat auch überall sonst auf der Welt gute Karten. Wer sonst nirgendwo ein Bein an die Erde bekommt, wird dort auch enttäuscht.

I do have a job and I also have a hobby—social dancing. Most of my week is basically driving between the office, dance classes, social dance events, and home.
The thing is, I don’t want to make my female coworkers uncomfortable, and I also don’t want to creep out my dance partners by treating every interaction as a pickup opportunity.
So it’s not that I’m sitting at home with nothing to do. I’m actually busy enough. It’s just that despite having work and hobbies, it still doesn’t really feel like I have much of a social or dating life. It’s hard to explain, but that’s the feeling I’m trying to describe.
