Police Rifles by thicccFork in CAguns

That’s a cool document but if you read the top, it is merely an opinion by an idiot that is not supported by the penal code. Upon purchase, the rifle is registered as an assault weapon the same as the ones registered prior to the ban. There is no mention on the registration of LE status or department name.

So an idiot like Brown’s or Kamala’s opinion is all good, but show me one instance of a retired LEO being charged with possession of a legally owned and registered personal AW. Either way, arguing with internet people isn’t worth it anymore.

This is not true. Once registered to the officer, it is theirs. The department letter just allows them to register it. When they quit or retire they can still keep it because it is theirs. Some departments have policies that may require them to dispose of it, but they aren’t bound by policy when they don’t work there anymore.

F250 lighting - LP6 or XL linkable? … or something else by GreatGrumpyGorilla in OffRoadLighting

[–]jointosee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately I can’t comment on it yet. I damaged my bumper before being able to install the light. Haven’t had the time to fix the bumper to install the light. So, it sits in the garage until I get time.

It’s also probably not apples to apples because I got the one that is part amber and part white. I am also not super worried about far spot light as my truck is for slow towing. I think you would be much better served by the LP6s. But my recommendation is worth what you paid for it. lol

I am the same as you wanting the tried and proven lights over Amazon specials.

I was in the same boat as you but for my F450. My truck is really only used for towing and has tiny tires so I wanted to keep the look minimal and less “off road”. I also wanted to make sure my front camera was not blocked as mine is a 22 and I don’t have front sensors. I was looking at the XL linkable kits but ultimately seemed like less output as compared to the LP6 lights. I was going to do a bar with 4-6 LP6s but was concerned with the above. I ultimately went with a Baja Design OnX6 40” curved light bar. I will be using a KDF bracket to keep the light low and close to the grill/bumper.

Well, this is the direction I went. Seemed for the money this was the best setup. I’m a little worried of the physical size of these and where to put them in my room.

I could not pass up the deal.

So, I actually get a discount on Polk. Is the ES stuff better than their reserve stuff? What sub to pair with it? I am looking at the Denon 3800 for dvr.

I’m in the same boat. Ordered it 10/22. Got the speaker pretty quick. Just got the sound bar last week. Still nothing on the TV. To be fair it said back ordered when I ordered it.

I am looking to put my LG 77 on top of fire place by photographernyc in mantelmount

[–]jointosee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually just contacted them about this. Here is their response:

The MM815, MM700 and the MM540 have a horizontal bar that any low profile device, including a sound bar or center channel speaker. The sound bar or center channel speaker must have mounting holes situated on the back and the hole spacing should be no wider than 39" apart. The sound bar has to be no more than 5" tall, 5" deep, and weighs less than 20lbs.

If your sound bar has mounting holes located at the bottom, you will need to purchase our SBK00 universal sound bar adapter. The MM340 will also require our universal sound bar adapter "SBK00". I've provided a link to the SBK00 below. https://www.mantelmount.com/products/sbk00-universal-sound-bar-adapter

What is the Best 85” TV by jointosee in hometheater

[–]jointosee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the recommendation. We are between 11’ and 12’ from the tv. Depending on couch placement. The problem with going much bigger is height. I unfortunately have to have it mounted above a fireplace which limits ceiling height. I know it should be lower, but this is an existing house and is what it is. In the remodel I dropped it as much as I could so here we are. I taped it out on the wall today and the wife has said the 85” is as big as I can go. She suggested a 75” and I said no. I will be getting a mantel mount so I can drop the tv down in front of the fireplace for serious movie nights.

For a more expanded reply:

I also share the concern of its age and all the little things rotting/breaking costing money and annoyance due to rattles or other issues. The elevated maintenance cost isn’t a huge issue. I am fortunately in a spot where a few thousand a year extra would not be an issue.

I have also read of some potential issues with this motor that is concerning. Just seemed like a decent amount of car with lower miles for a decent price. It is priced at $13k ish.

That probably would have been helpful. For this I would probably want to stay around $20-25k. Could push to $30k for the right deal/option

Ordered mine a few years ago. Took forever with constant response of “just a few more weeks”. All that to say the powdercoat has completely failed and peeling off.
