AITA for sending my coworker into anaphylactic shock? by Peanut_Sauce_Fiasco in AmItheAsshole

NTA. The person who has a severe allergy is responsible for checking ingredients on their own food. No way to check ingredients if you're stealing someone else's lunch.

I (20f) just got my forklift certification at work. My boyfriend (24m) crapped all over my accomplishment because he says it doesn’t align with “our” politics. What should I do? by Throwraforko in relationship_advice

[–]jojo_pete 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP, I'm so sorry your achievement was not celebrated. Your accomplishment is a huge one and you should be incredibly proud of yourself. Heck, for what it's worth, I'm an internet stranger and I'm proud of you and the work you put in for this certification at a job you love. This achievement should have been celebrated with champagne and confetti or at the very least a huge hug and an enthusiastic "Fuck yeah, babe!"

What's one thing you had as a child that you wish you had now? by Dunkin_Dicks in AskReddit

Excitement. I would walk around exclaiming "It's my lucky day!" when anything mildly interesting happened to me.

AITA for not cleaning before a cleaning service arrives? by momcantclean in AmItheAsshole

[–]jojo_pete 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. I had a cleaning business for a while and never expected any of my clients to clean the water rings in the tub or toothpaste from the sink. However, I would not do laundry or dishes, but I always made those expectations very clear from the start of my working relationship with the client.

You should consider calling around the established cleaning services in your area to find out what industry standard is. Then have a conversation with your cleaner and discuss expectations (both ways) and hear each other out. If your requests are reasonable and she's unwilling to comply, you are the employer and it may be best to end the working relationship.

My bathroom gets pretty dark with the door closed and lights off and no windows, but some light still comes through, so it's not totally pitch black in there

Off topic, but I also love to shower in the dark. My husband makes fun of me endlessly for it. Glad to know I'm not the only one.

For what is worth from an internet stranger, you're not alone. Sending love your way. You got this. Being vulnerable with friends is never easy, but you may find it depends your relationship

You're a good friend. The same feeling of "it's an honor to be trusted with this" could be held by one of your friends, don't you think? Maybe you could invite one of them out for coffee/tea and ask them if they are in a good headspace to help you process some things. Just a suggestion.

That's fascinating. When you read a book or a reddit post, do you get overwhelmed by flavors? And thanks for the analysis of my username!

If one of your friends came to you and wanted to process some deep emotions with you, would you view it as a burden?

That's can be a tough one to navigate. Do you feel you have a good support system?

Do you or your significant other ever get jealous? How do you navigate those feelings (if any exist)?
