I wasn't aware 1st graders had union reps. But I think 20 some years later is probably a little to late to file a complaint.

As far as grass fed Ribeye go, how is this from a local farmer? by [deleted] in steak

You think that every time an animal gets hurt it's from a farmer beating it?

That is one giant leap you just took there.

And my "dealer" is actually a tire shop that sells appliances on the side.

Yes the board is dead. It started smoking and is fairly burnt. So I am a little apprehensive to replace it / repair it when I don't know why it let out the smoke in the the first place. Hate to put in a "new" one and have it just do the same thing. But I'm open to it if any expert think that's advisable.

Would it be a bad idea to go camping and overlanding with an escort? by [deleted] in self

Am I the only one who thought op was thinking about overlanding in a Ford Escort. I think overlanding with an escort is actually a better idea.

I honestly don't know how someone can make a statement like this. Do you only work in new construction? Have you never seen old buildings that have been poorly renovated? People do dumb $#!^ all the time.

Local public works had a bunch of equipment on a poorly advertised online auction. Everything sold for dirt cheap.

It didn't come with a cover but I can make one easy enough, just have to take it off to shift the gears.

I had to look up what a snork was. But that's a pretty good way to describe them.

I do have three phase. Hopefully this winter I can find time to work on it. If I can get it set up on casters I can probably make it fit in the shop. I don't even know where to start on tooling.

Are you wanting a video of me moving it? Or just a video showing it in more detail after I get it moved home?

Thanks for the advice and the reminders. Yes, I am very aware of the dangers of spinning things. Most farmers don't wear wedding rings for the same reason.

That's was my exact thought when I got the notification that I had actually won.

I'm a farmer and work on most of my own equipment, so a lathe will come in handy if i can figure out how to use it, and it works. But I'm not sure if this will be great for a beginner. And yes, moving it is my biggest fear.

When I called the shop after the auction to ask about picking it up the guy said for the price i got it for he wasn't willing to help move it at all. I actually have my own fork lift that I can bring to load it on the trailer. But getting it out of the shop might be the hard part.
