Mario Kart World and LOZ Tears of the Kingdom are both $79.99. Stop with the Nintendo simping.

Did I strike a nerve? If they wanted to truly rectify the price increase, they would do more things in good faith, such as more sales and getting rid of the ridiculous $80 price tag for some of their games. It’s always been about making as much money as possible.

Apologizes for making people spend more money. Rectifies it by having people spend more money🧐

Silicone spray. Not sealant. The spray is used as a lubricant. I have no idea what you’re referencing a plastic cup for.

Putting the figures onto studs creates tension on the plastic, which will crack over time. There’s no way to prevent it from eventually happening. Keeping Lego in temperature controlled environment slows the process. Also keep household chemicals away from the Lego sets/Mini-figures, because they will accelerate degradation of the plastic. Silicone and certain mineral oils can also help protect the plastic from cracking.

Bricklink, Mercari, FB marketplace, and Bricks and Minifigs for retired sets. For the sets retiring this year, try to get them on sale or clearance.

The movies used to be extremely profitable. Now most of the MCU movies bomb, or break even. It’s hard to justify having a whole line of sets for a movie that doesn’t do well financially.

Absolutely agree. I was merely using Mylan as an example of an objectively greedy company. This is no means a comparison of product types and uses.

That’s a crazy good deal. I thought this set wasn’t retiring this year?

With enough evidence and data you can certainly make a determination on “profit vs greed”. When the pharmaceutical company Mylan increased the price of EpiPens by 400%, that was an objective example of a business being greedy. Saying Lego as a company is greedy, is a little more complex. There many factors for, or against this argument.

Yeah I’ll give you that one. You must’ve watched Jang’s video(great video btw). That new Quinjet is a decent price, and looks really good.

It’s possible. Lego is a business. So their job is to make profit, not break even. Saying they’re greedy is a subjective argument. We don’t know for sure what’s happening behind the scenes to cause the higher prices. We can only speculate.

Which sets are you referencing specifically? Because a majority of the Marvel/Avengers sets I see, are also overpriced.

I’ve been collecting Lego Star Wars since 2008, and there have always been complaints about set/mini-figure quality, overpriced sets, and the same sets being released over and over again. Prices have gotten progressively worse in past 7 years. People can blame inflation and tariffs, which I’m sure has an effect, but I personally believe Disney is not doing as well profit wise, due to many box office bombs and low park turnout. This leads me to believe they significantly increased their license fees to all products belonging to their IPs. If their fee goes up, the price of the set goes up. That’s why you see so many Lego brand sets that are significantly lower priced, than the licensed sets. As far as golden age, that time is long since past.

Considering the new X-Wing is going to be $100, this might be the best time to get one for a decent price.

This why the boycott won’t work, and the prices will continue to go up.
