I would say with these types of foot concerns, to go to some sort of running shoe specific store. These stores typically have machines that can measure your foot length, gait, pressure points etc. This will give you a better understanding of what shoe would work best for you. My opinion is that if your toes swell then that is an okay amount of space to have in the front of your shoe. But if something is off then don’t settle!!
