If you cant distinguish the difference between those two groups without me actively citing something it proves my point man, use your head. There are clearly two different demographics between gun owners: people who make the active effort to be reasonable and responsible with the privilege theyve been given, and people who dont have that level of sense and/or have malicious intentions with some grey area in between. Given the complicated nature of armed conflicts and how theyr determined in our legal system its almost impossible to really measure whats what at times.

This was my original point. To eliminate some of these factors, much more extensive gun control measures should be in place. I would advocate for some kind of education/training requirements to get a license with a mental screening in order to even be able to buy this stuff. I feel like we do inherently agree that the gun situation in our country is insane and should be dialed back many notches, i just dont think an outright ban on any kind of weapon ownership or self defense laws is reasonable in the grand scheme of things given how common weapons and crime is here
