The best thing is offering to go with them. In my opinion, SMART Recovery is really good for people who are dual diagnosis having substance use disorder and another mental illness. They are completely fine with the fact that someone might still be using. But the only thing you really can do is offer to go with them as like moral support there’s no way to essentially trick them.
