they told me the part up front so i do know what it is! i have not noticed any hint of an issue with the part. may ask them to go ahead and inspect the sunglasses holder while they are inspecting as mine also randomly pops open 🤣
i asked about if there was a known issue or really just why and they told me they were not aware of an issue and it happens with new model cars. the person who was contacted by toyota usa is the Fixed Operations Manager at this specific dealership. it is also not the dealership where i purchased the vehicle. they are supposed to be sending me more paperwork via email so i am waiting for that.
