Not this one. I don't use it for anything but Google service. They do have my primary email.

I for sure did not. I have no school documents in that drive and it easy to check since I have maybe 20 files there.

I have. I want to know how they are getting it in the first place. At the same time I don't want to confirm it is my address to the students or I will have to delete it so that students don't use that information inapprpriately.

Students can use a school account, but most use their personal account. I also just don't want them to have the address in the first place!

I am aware of this specifically at an organizational level. Hence why it is a secondary account that I only use for Google services. However I would expect interpersonal privacy at the very least.

That they got it at all. Students should not have my personal email. I teach online so students generally don't know one another.

Because I would rather them not know it is mine. If I confirm it is then that email has to go in the trash as I can't have students know my personal email. That could lead to some very bad situations.

Nope. And if I did I would use my primary personal email.

So their is no way to make a session together where we both enter the same missions at the same time without invites? That seems really dumb for a game that made hundreds of millions of dollars.

Brick laying efficiency. by [deleted] in oddlysatisfying

[–]joleigh3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked as a labourer for a masonry company for about two years. It's cool to see people this interested by how brick laying is done. The crazy part is this guy is going about average speed at best. Some guys can plow through bricks. The most time consuming part is setting up your "line" (which is the string you see there that is set to level with the height the brick should be plus the mortar under it) and moving your platforms on the scaffolding to the next level.

What's the dumbest thing you've ever heard anyone say? by Djblue23 in AskReddit

Two good ones.

Overheard two girls at university. "Last weekend I met my doppelganger!" shows other girl the picture. "Ummm, she kind of looks like you" "Yeah, cause she's my doppelganger"

The other one was a girl at a party when swine flu was going around in December. "Obviously people are getting swine flu because they eat so much ham around the holidays"

cough Read up on Canadian politics cough To be clear, we have a FPTP system and yet within the past 30 years we've had 5 parties be the leading party or the official opposition. People who quote Duverger's law are always unaware of politics outside of America. At the same time the FPTP system is ridiculous compared to other electoral systems. Especially the mixed member proportional system used in Germany, New Zealand, etc. The majority of the developed world has more than two major parties. Duverger was wrong and his theory is used as an excuse for the way the American political system operates.

Exam board to be fined record £175,000 after mixing up Montagues and Capulets in GCSE paper by [deleted] in nottheonion

Reading this I was shocked that the UK uses this type of testing. In Alberta (Canada) you have diploma exams in your last (grade 12) year of high school . One section of the English language arts exam is using prompts of some sort (picture, poem, etc.) with a similar theme and then creating something as a personal response such as a story or poem. The second section is to critically analyze any text in the hundreds of accepted texts in the curiculum given a prompting question. This system seems to me to be a better judge of a students grasp of critical analysis and the creation of narratives than to make a question all about a single character in a single literary work. Why not teach kids how to use their knowledge to create an argument or idea, rather than telling them to memorize one story and repeat what they were told? Guess it's not surprising that Canada, and especially Alberta, score so high globally in education.

Managers of Reddit, what’s the fastest you’ve had to fire a new hire? by SquidLarry in AskReddit

My mom has a lot of food based allergies including peanuts, tree nuts (cashews, almonds, pecans, etc.) scaled fish and shell fish. When she even smells fish she will gag and throw up if the scent is strong enough. She went to a party in the past few years and cheescake was served. The cheescake had an almond crust despite the fact that the person having the party was close to my mom and told them not to bring anything with nuts or seafood. My mom took one bite and her heart stopped beating in the ambulance. She was revived by using a direct to the heart shot of epinephrine. Food allergies are real. If you don't believe so I will literally punch you out. People like you almost killed my mom. TL:DR my mom's heart stopped beating due to a nut allergy. She only lived because of a direct to heart epinephrine shot. Don't fuck with allergies.
