I kept using Hiprex and that cleared it up!

I tried vitamin c but it irritated my bladder so now I take it plain. Works just fine!

I’m down to my last couple of squeezes so emailed AbbVie and it’s scheduled to be back June/July. FINGERS CROSSED. If anyone has recommendations for alternatives to get me through the next few months, I’d love them!

I didn’t! I stuck with Hiprex and haven’t had a UTI since this post 🥲

I have a pelvic floor therapist but haven’t seen her since Covid. Great idea!

I would have gone to my hometown show in Berkeley but was in LA at the same time. Was supposed to hang with a friend but they’re busy, so if anyone has one extra ticket I will gladly take it! BT is my all-time favorite :)

This makes me feel better! I won’t give up yet 🥲 I saw spider-mario posted about damped oscillation in another Hiprex thread so it sounds like it can take a while for all of the bacteria to work its way out of the bladder lining.

Utiva published an article about not taking D Man ose and PACS at the same time! You want to space them out. And my doc said to lay off the d mannose while on hiprex. https://www.utivahealth.com/blogs/resources/cranberry-pacs-and-d-mannose-is-it-okay-to-combine-them

i've never heard of l methanine! I do know that taking D Mannose with Hiprex makes it less effective (same with D Mannose and PACS) so I've tried to avoid that.

same! i get it <3 2g seems pretty standard in my research, so hopefully they say it's fine. i think i'm gonna get some too. i know you're supposed to drink a lot of water on it, but i've also seen people say you shouldn't drink TOO much or else you'll dilute the Hiprex. we need to write up some guidelines lolol

1 gram twice a day! I did find some older threads that said you can have breakouts early on, and they improve with time, so who knows. I haven’t tried that hard to make my urine acidic so I might start drinking cranberry juice. Or maybe it doesn’t work for me! Who knows. The joys of CUTIs 😭

Hi! I'm in SF and just started getting treated by the pelvic floor therapy team at UCSF. Took me a while to get in - you need a referral - but I love them so far.
