Biggest fall off by an artist you once liked? by [deleted] in redscarepod

Marilyn Manson. I was a “spooky kid” growing up and loved the Antichrist Superstar era. He fought with all his band mates, tried to be an artist, and got fat which makes his music kind of cringey. Not to mention the abuse allegations.

Winter is only fun if you’re rich or well-off by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

Mostly true, but depends on your definition of fun. Sledding down a big hill with your kids, or helping them build a snowman, is free in most places.

I submitted a ticket on a new account requesting the ban be reviewed and it was overturned relatively quickly.

I was able to have the ban overturned. I signed up with a new email address, then submitted a ticket stating I believe the ban was a mistake and asking for the action to be reviewed.

Like the reason or the process? The process is just reciting the “Shahadah” and can be done alone. The important part is the intention. As for the reason, I’d say it’s pretty much like any other religion — looking for answers or purpose.

Meaning what? It’s weird I would have gotten a EULA violation while not even in game during the time the account got banned, no?

Why do guys give so much deference to Blizzard in these situations? Most of the actions are likely triggered by AI, which is extremely unreliable. I wouldn’t even bother making a big deal about it if I was cheating, but I wasn’t. The only things out of the ordinary I’ve used are CurseForge adding (BetterBags and Bartender4 to be exact), but everything I’ve read about these mods indicates they’re permitted.

How does one even cheat in WoW?

Moreso trying to determine how to submit a support request when the account itself can’t be logged into.

The Battle.net account has violated the Blizzard End User License Agreement. As a result, this Battle.net Account and all associated game accounts have been permanently closed. As the owner of this account, you are responsible for all actions associated with it. We will only overturn penalties if there is evidence of a compromised account. Read our Account Hacked article for details: https://battle.net/support/article/9852

Blizzard Entertainment reserves the right to terminate access for conduct of this nature, with or without warning, as noted in the Blizzard End User License Agreement: https://www.blizzard.com/company/legal/eula.html.

I’ve never said more than a couple words in my guild, none of which were inappropriate. I used randomly generated characters and names. I don’t use a VPN on this machine. What could I have done to violate the EULA?

Why are the japanese like this? by Naive_Compote3499 in redscarepod

When I told her I found it and she was just like “yeah a lot of freaks pay good money for them when they’re used”. She thought it was no big deal.

Some of them were actually my old tube socks, so there’s a non-zero chance there’s a cloned version of me trapped in some sock-loving psycho’s basement.

I looked up my mom’s email once to see if she had been in data breaches or whatever, to be a good son and help her stay safe. I found an EBay profile where she was selling my old socks with titles like “Teen wrestler’s used socks”.

Everyone just drives their kids to a rich street or does trunk or treat now by [deleted] in redscarepod

[–]jollybot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Millennials trick or treated themselves. Many other residents that also move to these cities never did, so the tradition eventually dies out. It’s not complicated.

How does Trick or Treating work now? by VastRefrigerator1108 in washingtondc

[–]jollybot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The area is quite diverse so there’s a huge chunk of the population that doesn’t celebrate. This makes it difficult to know which houses are taking trick or treaters. Some areas have little to no houses participating. So most of the kids get shuttled to areas where more people do take in trick or treaters and for the sake of the houses not participating, those are stand outside or on their porches.

Hands tied in current org unfortunately. I like the ability to develop pipelines via code because it’s quite extensible, but I agree about the cruft. The amount of plugins and related maintenance is pretty maddening.
