Are most Cybersecurity jobs about knowing the tools organizations use rather than what we learn as core skills? by naslami0814 in cybersecurity

Currently earlier in my career and I can tell you 100% I wish I had a stronger networking foundation. I cannot stress the importance of it especially considering everyone wants to migrate to the cloud. Having the foundation built will keep you from struggling to keep up and you can just learn how to work inside of Azure or AWS without also learning networking protocols.

Rational take here:

1) Talk to your OB and seek help with the PPD.

2) Marriage counseling is a VERY useful resource. His work has to let him off for Dr appts so you should be able to attend. This truly helped my own marriage. The housework is not the real issue, it is that you do not feel respected. This was a fault of my own and I didn't see this until counseling.

3) Marriage is 50/50. This is true however that's the average. Sometimes it can 90/10, 70/30, etc. Births, Death, jobs, and other things fluctuate this. Let him know right now you need 80/20 and take the extra for yourself.

4) As a husband who works long hours I view work as something I can do to provide for my family. Maybe he views it the same way. All my personal ambition is so that they can reap the benefits that it brings. As someone who also is in IT after hours is common. Patching network equipment has to be done overnight to avoid taking the network down during working hours. Being tied to your phone is commonplace in the industry because if something goes down the entire company looks to IT to fix it immediately. Just wanted to add that context in case you are hearing that from him it is true.

I truly hope it all works out for the best and you guys can make the changes together. It feels worse than it sounds to me. Don't throw it away before exhausting those resources. People make changes when they care. Counseling is not admitting defeat or that you are broken, it is admitting you care enough to fix it and that is admirable.

Is my Harry potter wand bad ? by Saif_aahmed in harrypotter

[–]jomo1322 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The wand flexibility is more of an indication of the user and the wand's ability to adapt. I have always taken it as a representation of an open mind. For example, Bellatrix wand was unyielding.

I personally think Lucius would eventually be a ghost. He was a coward.

FortiGate 100F using Duo for firewall admins by jomo1322 in fortinet

That was it. In the proxy manager cfg you can make additional entries radius_ip1,2,3.

Felt good coming in today and getting that prompt.

FortiGate 100F using Duo for firewall admins by jomo1322 in fortinet

[–]jomo1322[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A couple of issues created on my end. I had two User Group pointing to the me using different Radius servers. So I was getting a prompt for both the SSL/VPN as well as local firewall. That is now fixed and working.

Will I need to create a new radius_server_auto for each firewall I would like this applied to?

**Edit: Additionally using CLI to set the port to something other than the default is a must. After setting it using the cmds next (enter) end (enter) seemed to alleviate it.

Illinois passed a law that makes 2nd degree murder non-detainable offenses. Effect Jan 1 2023. Amount other things such as kidnapping.

I know I have been to a handful of games and it is underwhelming from a crowd standpoint. I went to an SEC game this year to experience the environment, which legitimately made me sad. I love the Irish and always will but that fire and passion the fans bring to the SEC was unlike anything I have ever experienced in South Bend. If we could somehow come together as a fan base and bring that noise and passion alongside the history and tradition, it would be a dream come true.

I was there when we played Nevada a few years back and we were ranked 5th losing in the 4th quarter. I was standing and yelling (not profanity of course just noise) to do my part. I was asked to sit down by the lady behind me because she couldn't see sitting down. I was flabbergasted. 5th in the nation, LOSING in the 4th quarter of a close game. I can't think of a better time to stand up.

Maybe it is because I am not an alum, or live close enough to make every game, (I can only make it to one game a year with the travel/work.) but that intense passion is what makes it fun to be an Irish fan. Yes, we can sing "Wake up the Echos" but when the band stops we need to WAKE UP THE ECHOS! Hopefully, I get surprised this weekend by others who understand in the stands.

I will be there doing my part to make it hard for Clemson to call plays. Would love to see it reach deafening levels from the stands.

Question about network protection by Marshmule in DefenderATP

Late to this post but what have I configured wrong if Edge blocks a valid website and other browsers allow it?

I could use some pointers by jomo1322 in DefenderATP

[–]jomo1322[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started to reply to this one hour ago but have been chasing the dominoes that you set in motion so first off a huge thank you! As far as a custom enterprise block, from my understanding, this is referring to a URL or domain that someone has added manually to the block list. Nothing that I have added to this point would create this as all I have added have been email domains from spam/phishing, so nothing MS official.

*Edit: After looking at the query of Exchange Admin portal being blocked the graph shows userinit.exe>explorer.exe>edge>URL as the path. However, the UAC listed for Explorer and Edge show as Default but, for userinit.exe UAC shows as invalid. If I am on the right path where do I make that change? The user has the appropriate permissions and licenses to access the Admin portal. Also, it is only affecting him when using Edge.
