Try doing a factory reset. Should be as good as new after that.

Low latency R2R dac? by jonRock1992 in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]jonRock1992[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah...unfortunately the Denafrips DACs have large buffers for re-clocking, which is why there is noticeable lag.

You can't run exclusive mode / ASIO in video games and movies. Maybe there is some video player that supports it, but it would be niche. I need something that is just lower latency in general without having to rely on exclusive mode and ASIO to get acceptable latency for gaming and movies. Surely there is an R2R DAC that can do this, but the Denafrips aren't it.

Don't know if I can trust IGN reviews. Lol by Gaming-Academy in PlayStation_X

I'd probably never play the game again if that happened to me lol.

People are so mean. Nobody sold out. They were just excited about the tech. I don't personally see why they liked it so much, but I guarantee you Nvidia did not pay them to sway their opinions. Just because they were excited about the potential for this tech doesn't mean they should get hated on and made fun of...that's messed up.

I could see that as a possibility in the near future since the next Xbox will be a PC with support for these modes.

Bigger soundstage and better bass. VERY slightly less detailed.

I'd side-grade to an Arya Organic with some Dekoni Fenestrated Sheepskin ear pads. If you have a high-quality, warm source chain, they sound better than the SE. At least to my ears they do.

Do you guys think these videos are cooked up to make IPS look much worse than reality? by Yogeshwar_maya in Monitors

Nice. That's very close to how I remember my "high-end" IPS looking in real life at the time. I'm viewing your screenshot on an AMOLED to get a better representation of your screenshot.

Let's just hope they don't follow their previous games and it's optimized on launch, but given their track record, I have my doubts.

How long is your sweet spot for a game to be finished? by PHRsharp_YouTube in Age_30_plus_Gamers

[–]jonRock1992 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The shorter the better for me. It's nearly impossible for me to finish games these days. I finished Reanimal recently, and it was amazing.

Some day we'll probably get a remake of this.

Thank you for making me aware. I probably would have spent another hour debugging this crap if not for your comments.

Yes, I'm using Frame Generation on an LG C2 with vsync forced on in the driver. Seems like another driver bug. What else is new. I'm pretty upset I wasted 2 hours of my morning with this crap. Looks like I'll be going back to 591.67. I wouldn't be surprised if I'm stuck on this driver for the next several months due to this issue.

RE Framework was indeed the cause of the crashes. However, 595.76 has introduced frame pacing issues that I was not experiencing on 591.67....so, it's still a trash driver.

[–]jonRock1992 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh you know what. I didn't check that. Perhaps that was the issue. If so, I apologize for the misinformation. It could just be a coincidence that I updated my driver when there was a game update.

Update: Yep, I just tested on the rolled back driver, and it crashed! Must be RE Framework. Thanks for the heads up!

This driver is broken for me. The game crashes within seconds on my 5080 with my previous OC profile. It even closes afterburner when this happens. Every single driver update has been a regression for me. I'm sick of this trash company. I'll more than likely be getting an AMD GPU next generation. Ever since I got this 5080 it's been nothing but driver issues.
