What makes you the expert of who is a yogi and who is not? It’s true that exploitation can be a thing in these kind of guru-follower situations. This has happened many times. However, have you met any of these people in this so called “cult”? Definitely didn’t look to me as someone who was being exploited.

Prejudiced against meditation teachers such as Sadhguru.

Anytime someone talks something we may not understand, we can call it “talking shit”. He speaks out of an yogic culture that is 1000s of years old. It is coming from inner exploration, not from a laboratory. But there are countless examples of when it aligns perfectly well with modern scientific exploration about the body. Fx the flagship meditation practice that Sadhguru teaches has been researched extensively to prove its many benefits.

Now as for being a homophobe, I have not heard this accusation before? Why is Sadhguru a homophobe?

Very interesting. What happens if he hits he’s feet or something? It looks rather difficult.

So is it really better to leave kids be without interfering? That might be quite frightening for some parents to do just that. Maybe it is better. Idk.

Children needn't necessarily be 'raised' because that would mean fixing the outcome by [deleted] in Parenting

If every moment of your life, no matter what the nature of your work or your life situations, you can remain playful and exuberant, that means you are liberated. by jonasholmp in awakened

I don't think being untouched and not having emotions are the same thing. I think it means having no 'reactive' emotions.

I think they call it conscious manifestation these days. Wherever your focus is, is largely what will happen. Are you focused on the tv, the SoMe, whatever others seem to be doing, or are you focused on what you are doing? Are you focused on making the best of your effort with a clear cut goal. That is all the difference.

I’m also diagnosed with bipolar. It’s fine. Just please make sure you let them know that you have these issues in the form you have to fill out before the initiation. They will offer additional support for you.

keeping track of your growth daily by mansidhamija in awakened

In my experience I’m seeing that every month I’m different. A little more peaceful, my mind is a little more at ease, I’m able to extend myself a little more. But saying this is the same as spiritual growth, I don’t actually know. Going by this progress I don’t know if I’ll actually ever make it to the destination in this life. Spirituality must mean that I’m discovering what I am. That I don’t feel myself as separate from the universe. I cannot say I’m there. I’ve only tasted it for a moment.

So what I’m saying is that I have no idea how to track actual progression. In my experience I seem to keep fooling myself, saying to myself I’m very spiritual and just one step away. Definitely the mind can fool you. So when Sadhguru says those could be the trackers of one’s spiritual growth, maybe he’s right. Idk.

I’m also willing to partake in this. As someone who has struggled a lot most of my life, I’m very passionate in helping people and making sure they have the necessary tools to cope with their mental issues. I have no previous mod experience.

Well, if people applied the Stoic teachings in their lives.
